Build Advice Upgrade build - can I shave some £ off?

    Already there! :D Sort of...
    I’m not completely upto scratch understanding nvme drives... from reading the motherboard (strix) info it says nvme drives halve the PCIE lanes of all the slots? So anything in the slots don’t get their full power?
    Or am I interpreting that wrong?
    one slot affects sata other Pcie which I guess depends on type of nvme?

    If you use a m.2 drive in the top m.2 slot the gpu pci-e slot still runs at full speed.
    If you use a m.2 drive in the bottom m.2 slot the gpu pci-e slot runs at half speed.

    So basically with one m.2 drive you are fine.
