Graphics Upgrading from a 4890 2GB to ?

I'm currently running a Sapphire 4890 2GB card. I'm thinking about upgrading, but which card is a worthwhile improvement over what I've got? Can be nVidia or Radeon. Looking to spend £200-£300.

I believe the MSI GTX 560 Ti is the best price to performance card out there right now but if you want more bang then I agree with picarro, the 570

 

How loud are those cards? My 4890 is generally pretty quiet.

 

From all accounts the MSI 560 runs very cool and is a very quiet card.
I'm not sure about the GTX 570 on a reference cooler

 

If you want to use a very quiet cooler then, depending on how much you want to spend, i'd get either the MSI GTX 560 Twin Frozr II or MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr II.

 

I would be tempted by the 6950 and unlock it.

 

I personally think you want more of a performance jump than a 560 from a 4890. A 570 should do nicely, or a 6970.

I mean if your already spending 220 plus.. another hundred get you close to a 580 and single gpu..

the 6950 is cheaper than the 570 and unlocks to whoop huangs face like the pubic hair that's usually in it.. but then you have to put up with the abuse by nvidia fanboys who like it when their card blows up in their face
