OK, maybe I'm missing something here, but EVGA just asked me why the invoice for the 3060 Ti I want to RMA doesn't have my name on it. I thought their warranties were transferrable? Any ideas before I do something stupid and get shafted?
Yes, but also no. The original warranty is non-transferable, but there's a separate warranty for second-hand sales. You need a receipt which has the name of the original owner as the seller and your name as the buyer.
I think it seems you need a copy of a transfer of ownership off whoever you bought it and registered it yourself. Seems like it's not a straight if you own it you have the warranty which is news to me. Edit: Garethninja
I bought a EVGA 3090Ti off ebay a while back, and I registered it to my EVGA account with the PayPal receipt and that was good enough for me to have the warranty, they maybe trying to get out of the rma as they no longer do any cards, are you registered on their forums, if so post a thread on there that way you can't be ignored, I've found this the best way as they have always been very helpful.
