Surely it's time for a hotcrossbun review?

 

Sat outside of a locked gate waiting for someone to let me in to do some fairly urgent repairs to a server that they claim can't have downtime during the week.

...I think I have the wrong thread.

 

I added some Hue bulbs today, did the scan, picked up the ones I was adding as expected, but additionally picked up a rogue hue white I wasn't. After two full inventories, I'm 99% sure this isn't in my house, so I've been intermittently flashing it all afternoon. It's been entertaining me more than it probably should.

Once it gets dark I'll have to go outside and see if I can tell where it is. I wonder if someone saw them on offer on Amazon this week and thought "I might just get me one of these smart bulb things", without really understanding what they were? It seems unlikely that if I just happened to be adding bulbs, a neighbour was as well, as the app is pretty clear that if they don't pop up on a scan just manually add the SN, which would make it drop from my system.

 

Selling my 10 year old Logitech G25 wheel for £5 less than I paid for it new.

 

Car Dashboard clocks are always wrong... always... even if you've just set the correct time on it... it's wrong...

It's basically a simple one-liner that allows me to use my DACs second jack for a microphone on Linux (same way as I use it on Windows).
Better yet, it'll be part of the Linux 4.16 kernel as an ALSA quirk.

Just been invited to my cousin's wedding. And he's marrying a guy, so it will be the first gay wedding I have ever been to. I'm well chuffed. He's a really lovely kid tbh. Up until a few years ago I hardly knew them because they (there are two) are quite young. But over the past few years through happiness (my mum's 70th bash) and sadness, my uncle's funeral last summer (he was their dad) we have grown much closer. My nana would be thrilled tbh. They were pretty much babies when I went off to the USA..

So yeah, well chuffed. Definitely something I would put on my bucket list too. And they are doing it very differently. Live bands, a disco etc. Mucho looking forward to it

Yup, why not? I'm pretty open minded and I have never been to one before. So hey, it's something else to experience before my cork pops.

 

Just didn't strike me as a bucket list sort of thing.

I've been to one gay wedding, and it was a lot like... a wedding.

 

Yeah now see this isn't. They have three live bands, for example. One for before, one during and then one for the party after

It all sounds pretty cool to me.
