With the news that Paradox has bought White Wolf I might just get the first thing on my list. Moar vampirez!
Space Marine (original tabletop, not computer - Epic Warhammmer 40K) RTS - maybe with first person control of titans/gargants. No structure building or tech trees, roll with what you start with. Adeptus Titanicus, sim style with either AI crew or a team running the titans. Play as a princeps designating target priorities and the AI shoots for you or your mates cover their sectors. Slow firing weapons so you have to make every shot count and use the right weapon for the job (vulcan cannons for shields, defence lasers and volcano cannons for when they're gone. Whirlwind launchers for long ranged, massive AoE, chain and power fists for when it gets up close and personal. I've only been dreaming of this for 25 years... ) A Dark Future style driving game - sim style controls where your car characteristics directly affect handling and performance but instead of running someone off the track you blow them up Single player campaign and multiplayer scenarios with procedurally generated routes and terrain. Damage modelling and handling reductions as per a good racing sim but if someone keeps blocking you they get a rocket up the jacksie Scenarios varying from outright death race to escort and ambush, goals rather than just win the race. Think Interstate 76 met Mad Max with the cheerful, happy thoughts of William Gibson and Walter Jon Williams thrown in for fun In case you hadn't already guessed I'm rather fond of some of the older Games Workshop IP...still have the games in boxes
There are mods but a skyrim-esque game built from the ground up based on westeros would be amazing. This would also keep me entertained for a while!
Something akin to Elite Dangerous Planetary Landings, but instead of the worlds being procedurally generated the worlds/systems are owned and seeded/created by the players (within certain perimeters to give a degree of uniformity in style and quality). You'd essentially play a simultaneous dual role as explorer/trader and ruler of your planet/system. Both sides of the game could have selectable levels of automation so you could focus on the area you like most. Basically rather than having lots of players interacting exploring systems and worlds generated by the game, you have the players create and populate the universe too.
You know what I loved as a young teen? Blood Net (Amiga version as it had superior music). I ache for this to be re-imagined by say...Paradox perhaps? I know many have slated it, but I loved the atmosphere, music, story and the location and the ideas. It was the game that made me love cyberpunk. A vampire cyberpunk gothic! You can count the number of those games on one hand. One! I want moar plzzz
Agreed. Another Vampire game would be great. I loved Bloodlines (even with the constant crashing and bugs) so something with the scale and scope of that (without the constant loading or crashing) but possibly with even more alternate routes through something? http://store.steampowered.com/app/405900/ Wish granted. ... Oh. My. God. The second I can click 'buy' I am doing. Fizzban... if you never got around to Disgaea after our derailing of the 'Best Game Ever' thread... Feb 2016 is the time.
Open World RPG Western, in the vain of The Witcher 3 and RDR, on the PC (multiplatform is fine, but needs to run on PC).
