Hi, i searched around on the forum, but couldn't find a thread like this so i thought id start one. So what is the best game you ever played? Any platform from atari to xbox. Not based on solely on graphics, but pure gameplay. Also a description of the best moment(s) in the game. Me it has to be Xenogears on ps1. Wow is that game awesome. i love it to bits and i play it regularly. the story is awesome and the controls were innovative and intuitive (in my opinion anyway) Best moments: .)Fighting the demon of elru in the desert with bart. This huge red robot comes up to fight. So you start bashing it, doing more damage than you have done up to now on robot foes. The red robot just stares at you for a few turns and then he goes wham! destruction in one hit. i was like OMFG! .)The arena fights in aveh. .)Also the solaris episode was great. totally unexpected. urrm i could go on, but i think the whole game is a best moment. What about you guys??
Cannon Fodder. Best moment being wounding the natives so they just bled to death. Or maybe repeatedly shooting at dead bodies so they would dance around and never fade out. I'm sure this post makes me sound sadistic, but it was a colourful cartoony game
Probably 2-player games on the Amiga such as Sensi Soccer and Speedball 2. Best moments - well, you cannot beat scoring a winning goal in the final seconds.

Nah, only mods can close if they think it's necessary. Don't worry about it, I find you have to be quite specific in the forum search for it to turn up what you're looking for, it's not exactly Google
Deus who? Never heard of it! A game I remember playing when I first got my PS1 was Speed Freaks. Similar to Mario Kart. 2 player with a friend was so awesome.
There's just too many, FF8, TFC, MU Online, Gran Turismo, WoW, Crysis. All super. Maybe not looking back now but at the time of first playing them :O
Ugh, lurk moar! If I had a nickel But World of Warcraft, personally. Though I'm now bored of it. edit - oh, best moment: Successfully tanking heroics for the first time, I suppose. Tanking a tactical fight is such an amazing feeling - the knowledge that you're keeping everybody alive, absorbing enough damage per second to kill a normal DPS player in moments, often from several absurdly strong enemies at once, being sustained by a dedicated healer throwing down continuous heals. Saving people when they steal aggro, avoiding AoEs, interrupting casts. The whole thing is just so much fun. The rest of the game's content pales in comparison to tanking, I think. Where else do you get to absorb a 40'-tall dragon's swipes with your face? It's the epitome of awesome Not actually a druid, but the sentiment is roughly parallel.
The Civilization series. For some reason it's so much more tense when you are Having a LAN, good times.
WoW - Beating all but the very best (2 or 3 on my server) rogues in duels that take longer than 10 minutes with the enemy using every cooldown in an attempt to take you, especially nearly beating and sometimes beating full S3 rogues as a resto spec shaman in a mix of S1/S3 .
