Have to say, it's been about 3 hours since I unboxed my G500 and I'm totally sold. The extra buttons are about to come in very handy in CoD4, the free scrolling is awesome and it fits nice n snuggly It's got an even bigger thumb groove than the G5, suits my style of mousing perfectly (heel on the edge of the desk/mat). Rep for Logitech for improving on a classic
gotta agree there, used the MX3200 for years, moved over to wired G500 earlier this year. The difference is night and day. Fits my hand great, best purchase in ages.
Have to admit I only ever use three mouse buttons (take a guess which ones ). Never could get used to all those thumb buttons and what not.
not even when web browsing ? I HATE having to click the arrows to go back and forth between pages... I could never live with that again
OK... I'll admit it. The third button doubles as both button and mouse wheel. And I'm using both features. But that's about it.
I found it wierd going back to my parents crappy Acer after I'd had my G5 a couple days, the back button becomes an extension of your thumb for places like this
Been using a Logitech MX518 for several years, but I'm getting really sick of it since Setpoint (software drivers) is very flakey. I rely on all the extra buttons in-game, and sometimes I need to close setpoint altogether in order to get my game to recognize those buttons, and even then sometimes they'll randomly stop working in my games. In fact just two days ago I get pissed when my mouse stopped working during a game of MW2 and smashed it on my desk. Plus it's uncomfortable after extended gaming.
Yet another Logitech G5 here. It's replaced my Razer Diamondback, the left button packed up for no good reason, lost all responsiveness and "click" so it's now sat in some box around the place. Also didn't like the buttons on the right of it, there was no way I could reach the damn things without cramp setting in.
well i used to use the G9 which was an awesome mouse... but my mum threw it away (T.T) but I liked using the soft cover, now i use the razer deathadder and its the old version so the dpi count is too low... but it is the C&C Kane's Wrath edition which makes it look nicer... because i don't need to see that ugly razer logo as well as the original colour scheme
Logitech G9. It seems to have lasted longer than my previous purchases, although i did like the MS/Razer Habu i had previously, but i dropped it on the floor and it seemed to affect the tracking.
Razer Lachesis here but I'm seriously eyballing a Logitech G9, I do have a soft spot for all the Logitech bits and bobs I like the feel of the material of the mouse in my hand, but I find it feels a tad light for my liking.
G9 all the way here, couldnt go back, full weights and dry grip, around can vary the dpi when i need it on the fly, great mouse
Razer Salmosa! Which I got for £13 brand new! Bargain and a nice mouse, although it squeaks like a proper mouse I didn't know that when I bought it but I'd like another mouse, preferably with a high DPI, will get a Logitech G500 or a Razer Diamondhead.
currently have a £3 microsoft oem mouse thing (my old mice died) getting a razer naga for my birthday next month
