My USB drive died (it can be read briefly sometimes), so I opened it up.

    There's nothing inside.

    I'm so confused.

Nothing inside as in no data? Or nothing inside the actual casing?

It might be on a PCB that's hidden by the USB connector itself. The Sandisk Cruzer Fit, for example, is barely bigger than a USB connector

Pics are just of bits of mangled case.

But someone said it might be a monolithic version, and I looked up a video of one being opened up (incidentally with the same freezing issue), and it looks like that's what it is.

    (5:12 in)

I had opened it up a while ago and thought I'd only removed the USB connector. I never thought that was the actual drive. I remember pulling the pins out and probably thinking "didn't need to do that but I can chuck this bit now" thinking the board was inside the case.

Hopefully there are no FBI-level technical landfill scroungers who can figure that one out. (Assuming I had any personal info on there, I don't even remember, but I remember annoyingly removing the Bitlocker just before it died.)

After yesterday's sickness, today I am absolutely exhausted.

I got some sleep last night and I have managed to eat and drink something today, but a quick trip to the doc's and shops has completely wiped me out.

    I got the job (Yay!)
Now I just have to tell my co-workers, move house and gird myself for working whilst also studying for a degree
    [IMG]

More seriously my Dad is due heart surgery later in the year and I might be living 3 hours away when it comes round. If (IF) it goes according to the schedule laid out he'll have it before the new job starts. But the prospect of him being in recovery while I'm not around fills me with dread.

Just had an email from Master Replicas

    .... Oh no.

    .... Oh no.

They have to stop doing this, I really want all the other Expanse ships (I already have the Roci)... The Orville stuff is also really cool...

Go here if you also wish to spend far too much money on tiny model ships (the Roci's not so tiny though, it's quite big).

Took the bike in to have a part fitted. Part not in stock. The part I said I wanted to buy in both an email thread, and in the maintenance booking. How?

Those absolute gobshites are at it again. Thankfully for my wallet's sake, this one is too rich for me. The price is fine, but it's only available to members of their "Collectors Club".... which costs £89 to join. Nope.

Maybe it's the picture, but that looks horribly mis-proportioned

Seems pretty close to the version used on screen

Eaglemoss didn’t always have the most accurate details on their models, but from what I’ve seen so far the basics are spot on.

It might just be the photo, but it looks wonky to me, the forward section appears too short and the back top too wide, it looks more like a P'ed off snapping turtle than a spaceship

I thought the long bit looked too short, but a quick fiddle in GIMP suggests it's just a bad angle (maybe):
