Red Alert 2 is my all time favourite, absolutely love it, plus it runs on my netbook! Current favourite would have to be BFBC2, even though it's not released yet, the beta is THAT good. Half Life 2 and Portal are up there too.
If by favourite game you mean the one I have the fondest memories about, it would be either StarCraft or Diablo I/II. If you mean games that I still play today, even though they are really outdated, I would say Baldur's Gate II and/or Placescape: Torment. If you mean games that should get a re-release with an updated graphics engine, so that it wouldn't be such a hassle to get them to work on modern computers and finally have the graphics they clearly deserved, I would say Deus Ex and Transport Tycoon Deluxe.
For me it's: Spectrum: Jetpac BBC: Elite Sega Megadrive: EA Hockey / PGA Tour golf Playstation: Wipeout N64: Goldeneye & Perfect Dark (Can't wait for PD on the 360 next month!) Sega Saturn: Virtua Fighter 2 + Sega Rally Challenge X-Box: Tiger Woods X-Box 360: GTA IV (can't play it on here now after buying the pc version). PC: BF2, GTA IV & Batman AA, Championship Manager (Now known as Football manager - all of them)
Amiga 500+ Secret of monkey island 1 and 2, Snes chrono trigger,Pc deus x, system shock 2,Snes secret of mana. I don`t have a all time favorite of just one game but these games are the best i have played.
to answer the OP I shall explain why my favorite game is UT instead of just naming it. This quote should do the trick I also have other favorite games. The Gran Turismo games played a big part of my gaming life, as well as MegaMan and Metroïd games
I think my top 2 console games have to be: Grand Turismo 2 Tomb Raider Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic - I still go back to this game every now and then when I have a bit of an old school urge.
If we're specifically talking retro games, then it probably has to be Sonic (any of them) - I can't remember any other game I sank more time into... Aside from Final Fantasy 7 - that is probably my favourite game of all time.
My favourite old game is quake 3 arena, Only because its the first game i really rememer playing back when my dad got a computer with a voodoo 3 graphics card back in the day. Currently my favourite game is battlefied 2 mainly cuase i don't game that often now so its the old ones that do the trick for me
Erm... I must be getting old... I can remember playing Quake on a Voodoo 1 accelerator card - not a discrete graphics card, a pass-through accelerator... I still have a working Riva TNT2 M64 AGP card somewhere in my junk pile, too...
I remember those. The wires were like an untidy version of the early crossfire at the back of the PC. Bloody expensive as well.
first card i bought was a Voodoo 3 3000 (128????) Agp for a Pentium 3 450mhz. Back when i was 12.. Fav game i've already listed, but console, SNES Mario Kart and Donkey Kong. PC. 3 am sessions of CS 1.1 on cs_assault. W00t!
Im going to spell this wrong but please leave it be grammar nazi's Sukodin, best freaking rpg ever! I tried to go online and buy it on E bay and found out it was worth 200 bucks..... REally wish i still had my old copy!
To many to choose from. One I would love to see reborn developed for PC, Jedi Knight. I loved that series and with current PC hardware a new update would be fantastic....if done right.
vic -20 was mentioned above...god those were the days....i got omega race and a maze game with a mouse collecting cheese..my brother and I thought it was great...jesus kids now would turn their noses up at that now
