Bondo and lots of sanding before painting can cover a multitude of sins... And sanding sealer!!! One of wood's best qualities is its forgiveness... Good luck!
Oh, almost forgot... I assume you're going to use the plexiglas strips to show interior lighting, yes? That's where the uneven cuts will show up the worst... Perhaps some Bondo or thin pieces of wood trim to overlap the joint (but still leave some of the plexi visible for lighting) between wood and plexi would hide those first cuts?
i really fell bad for saying this but i cant seem to get where or how this will turn out i hope the best for you but maybe all the money you spent )wood glue bondo and those got fans Why did you p;aint them ) you should have got a table saw and made some real good cuts but for a 15 year i have got to give you a 10 out of 10 when i was 15 i was to worried about girls and weed so i still hoping tangs come out great i just wished your dad had some better tools and was there to teach you how to use them
Havent been here in awhile (WoW is taking over my life), so: Hal - dumbass . Illvit - Ah, things were getting better too . I must say I'm starting to feel a bit worried again now..the paintjob doesn't look so good (what paint are you using anyway?)..you need to sand out all the lumps in your case, and you need to put enough paint on so as to make it look solid, so that you cant see the little grey marks behind it. I really dont like the look of the fans - and you really need to secure that res . Maybe you can rescue it..I really hope so. Keep going. (this typed at 7:20am, after playing WoW for 3 days straight - will come back in the afternoon and clear up any inaccuracies / leave me alone.) Mid
What did you do to that reservoir? Is it made from a bottle of MD 20/20? You got some kind of dust all over your components, dude I like the idea and I'm sure this can turn out great but you need to plan more before execution! Mod on
Long time no see. It looks pretty okey, but please sand it alot more. The color of the fans really isn't that important since they won't be seen at all propably... I think this can turn out great, so please people cut him some slack. I never thought this to be one of them forums where you can't post your work without someone with a greater postcount/egoboost/experience/whatever come and tell you that you're an idiot if you're doing it any other way than they say.. Please don't let this be one of them forums Give him some time and it propably will turn out great Ps: Sry for ranting.
Sorry that I haven't post here for a while. I didn't get post that someone had posted here, so I thought that nobody had post here. Anyway I have got one more sponsor: 3dfxcool.no And I got some dissafirmation on a blue lcdscreen from hammar.no ...and yes, I do know that I have to sand a lot more. The case look pretty rought now
Sorry, doublepost. By the way... I have much schoolprojects and that kind of stuff I have to work with, so I haven't so much time to work with the case now. So I assume that the next update with come once the next week.
It will be nice to see you back again.Glad you are still determined even though you have had a few problems.
Update as promised I got a nice post from 3dfxcool.no Content: dual 10cm chatods 8leds ide-cabel I got some "rabatt" on a lcd-dispay from hammar.no . Unfortunately, I did exactly the same wrong thing as the other lcd-display I have soldered. I am so unconsentrate when I sold  Men heldigvis gikk det bra denne gangen. Som du ser på det bildet over har skillsa mine blitt bedre. I hate to paint, but I have to do it  I put the chatodes in the case just to check. The reason that the stripes and window look white is because it shines throught yellow mask-tape(and blue + yellow is, as you all know, green) The psu in the dark
Mate... please stop saying "spackle" or sparkle... your PAINTING! spackle is a type of filler made from wood you are painting... and i advise that you use filler over your case, and then sand it, THEN paint, as i see youve started painting without sanding at all.... take care... looking good
Thanks.Fixed. I am "painting" the whole case now, and with that I mean that i filled ole those rawness and holes, to get a smooth surface.
