Or BF1942, I could never get mine to run on Vista64, even BF2 has slight issues.

I can tell you Worms Armageddon works fine - although a few graphical glitches in the menus, in game is absolutely fine

I have Win 7 64 bit. Almost everything works (BF 1942 is dodgy). Very happy with the OS!

Don't know what you've been doing wrong but Enemy Territory Quake Wars works perfectly fine on Windows 7 x64 here. I'm using the latest patch.

All my games so far have worked for me bar Call of Duty 4 (32bit ultimate installed). Everytime I tried to load the multiplayer it would crash instantly (SP worked fine). I reinstalled, re-applied patches, updated punkbuster... all to no avail.

What fixed it in the end was plugging in my microphone... Yup, the moment i plugged it in the game fired OK without error and no further crashes occured even after hours of gameplay. Remove the mic, however, and it would once again refuse to load.

I've tested some games without problems:

    CoD4, ArmA2, WiC, L4D, TF2, NFS: Shift...

Looks like everything works for me.

I noticed beyond good and evil in the list.

i picked it up on steam at some point as part of a bundle and that version seems fine at least :)
(really must play it some time though :p)

Only compatibility problems i have noticed with win7 is in really old 16bit mode windows apps, which isn't a fault of win7 itself at all, it's the lack of 16bit support in a 64bit OS :)

I've found that with Quake 3 games (Quake3, Enemy Terrority, Maybe Jedi Knight 2?), if you get graphic errors or it stops before launch (OpenGL error) all you have to do is delete the config file. When you relaunch the game it recreates the cfg file and then it normally works.

That's what the EDIT button is there for. :sigh:

I can install and play TQ + add on perfectly fine on Win7 RTM.

So it's free yet it's still M$? Come on! :p

Why would you guys mention games that didn't work on XP 32 either? Did you expect them to magically come back to life in Windows 7 x64, especially considering that 64-bit Windows drops support for 16-bit applications. If I see a DOS game, I run it in the DOS box. Enough said.

Error 557 (in Gothic 3) is "Macro too long/complex - An attempt was made to create a MACRO that is too long or complex." This suggests that maybe the problem is that the original game was poorly coded?

That's very true anyway. I actually have the game from my freelance days when I did it for Videogamer.com - the game was practically unplayable.

Here is my xfire profile, http://www.xfire.com/profile/galack/ , all games I've played more than 1 hour are playable on win7 x64 (sometime it's a little tricky to make them works, but most works fine)
