Hello, I start the Woodpc3 third version and I hope this is the last one :).

This is the computer I use every day...

I use it for my job, listening music, engeneering...

The first version was 100% Fanless with an I-ram, realtime analyser and an active crossover Behringer.

The CPU was a low consumption Turion MT32 (TDP 25w).

The amplifier was a NAD T753 (home theater used with the 7.1 input)... :)

    The second version
    was less resonable... , CPU Q9550, 2 Acard 9010 in raid 0 (700mo/s), and a GTX275.

This version was not fanless due to high consumption and high temperatures.

This computer was not quiet enough,...

Years ago, my original project was with all integreted, amplifier, analyser, active crossover and convecter... all 100% fanless.

Now I have the technical (and financial :) ) solutions.

    The new version :

    - Q9550 fanless underclocker @ 2.4ghz fsb 400 1.04v
    - Radiator Noctua
    [IMG]
    - 4GO DDR PC6400
    - Powersupply Fanless Seasonic Gold
    - RevoDrive 80go and 240go
    - Radeon HD5670 Fanless
    - Asus P5Q premium (4 ports LAN for teaming)

    - Analyser Behringer DEQ24/96
    - Active crossover Behringer DCX24/96
    - Converter Behringer SRC24/96

    - 3 amplifier tripath TA2022 with 3 toric transformer 150VA
    [IMG]
    - 6 lines pré-amplifier

The most important for this projet is to have less cable as possible for the computer part.

I will have a lot of with the amplifier.

That's why I choose the RevoDrives the HD5670 and the modular fanless Seasonic. I will only have the 24 + 8 pins cable.

At this time, the computer is running perfectely in fanless mode.

Yes they are like studio stuff

The first one is a convecter, for example input 48khz 16bit > output 96khz 24bit
The second is a realtime analyser (RTA), you see all frequences (from 20hz to 20khz).
The third is a 6 chanel crossover (2 woofer, 2 medium and 2 tweeters).

This looks very interesting although can you elaborate a little more on your set up and what your doing, are you combining your rack mounts and pc into one unit type of thing? Speakers look very nice Tavutatete!! :thumb:

ahhh, another set of speakers! Excellent! I really want to build a set and my buddy whose an audio engineer has been pushing me to do it for over a year now. Finally getting some "fun money" as I call it saved up so hopefully my own set isn't to far away!

So based on that I'm really looking forward to seeing your progress :thumb: So far they look really sweet man!!!

What makes you want to build it as one unit?

Personally I like everything like my active preamp/crossover and amplifiers (which I have built), PC all in the same enclosure types (which I also built myself!) all in a rack sort of arrangement!

    Two reasons :

1- In order to improve my technical knowledge :) ...
    2- Less cable... :)

Reason number 2 is the only reason you ever need to give. Even with a pretty typical PC setup, I have huge amounts of cables.

Love the work you have put in so far, I will be following this log very closely.

    Hello... the news :)

The bigest problem will be the cables. I decided to put them into 10 and 16mm aluminium tubes.
