Hi All, Recently installed my new sound card into my machine but after trying to install the drivers from the xonar website (dated 2012.05.08), it isn't detecting the card. Windows has picked up the card and installed it with what looks like the standard Win7 drivers. I'm running 64bit. Any ideas what could be the problem and how to fix? Thanks
The currently installed driver is provided by Asus as your screenshot shows. Doesn't it work? Have you checked the default sound device? (Right click the sound tray icon and choose "Playback devices".) Is there an extra power connector on the card and is it plugged in?
It works fine but I would like to update the drivers to the newest ones and I'm missing the Xonar DGX Audio Center, only have the default windows sound properties to play with at the moment.
I disabled my ATI and Realtek sound devices via device manager and restarted. After trying the software again it detected the card and installed fine. Still running the same device driver version but now have the audio center so just going to leave it at that for now. Thanks
Did you try the Xonar alternative drivers: http://brainbit.wordpress.com/category/uni-xonar/ Download links are at the bottom of the page.
I had the same issue with my daughters DGX, I moved it to another pci-e slot and the problem went away.
