I'm packing my stuff as I'm moving soon..... Which made me realize I just MIGHT have a bit too much hardware. I'm still a bit uncertain, so please, tell me if this is normal?

My new setup. Managed to ruin my 17" 2nd screen but received my Lian Li A05FN today. I must say that after being the owner of a Lian Li I am unsure how I will go back to normal cases.

My desk is progressing, it's more than just a 3D render of my ideas, I had a huge delivery last night:

Much more to do with regards set up and room redecoration but I'm happy with the progress so far. If you're interested I've got 2x2209WAs (e-IPS), 1x2410 (h-IPS?) and a 19" 1906FPS (TN) for my laptop.

@ Picarro - Grats on the new case, I still use a modified A05 (original version) and love it to bits. Antec used to make cases this good. Used to...

@ Huge. I'm not gonna lie, I'm very impressed and a little jealous. Oh the things I could do with a monitor setup like that. I like to multitask ;) I could increase my productivity greatly with a setup like that! I even have a room the same shape as yours with the hlaf sloping/half vertical ceiling :)

If you watch and listen closely to the video you'll notice that the fans respond directly to the speed of the car ingame to the give the effect of the wind you would receive if you we're actually driving with windows/roof down. So cool.

Unbelieveably jealous of that set up and of Huge's set up i must be honest.

I really like it. I am already considering a stealthed optical drive + cutting one of the 5.25" covers so I can fit the dials of my fan controller through it since the aluminium of my fan controller is brushed the wrong way!

Do it! See my post here about the guy I bought them from. He would sell you three 'as new' 2209WAs for £300 delivered - that's a set up worth envying for an extremely reasonable cost, considering they are £250 new each.

Is that a step too far? Of course not - I want one now! Damn you £5 bargain fans I picked up on the way home yesterday :duh: Perhaps I can modify them..? I already have one stripped down to pieces for modification, I wonder what software I'd need.

    Thanks for the compliments :)

Those are two of the many mods I have done on my A05 - Although I put more than just a fan controller in the second 5.25" cover, I put a small LCD in there as well. Other than those I've cut cable management holes in the mobo tray, cut a vent in the floor for the PSU, cut vents in the roof for 2x120mm fans (soon to be a 240x120mm rad), replaced the standard switch with a black delrin illuminated vandal switch, removed the 3.5" hard drive cage, stealthed the PSU and 5.25" cage internally using custom baffles, cut a side panel window and cut an illuminated manufacturers logo. I think that's everything... with the case anyway. Oh wait no, the chassis was powdercoated matte black as well.

For the record, all cutting on the chassis that I am talking about was done by hand, using a dremel, router, drill etc. I also have a second A05 (again, the traditional older chassis type) that has a different paint job and most of the same chassis mods, but everything for it was cut on a flowjet and the chassis was powdered gloss white.

That's a good enough deal for me to give it some serious thought, thanks for the link! I am used to a larger main monitor though. I've been working and gaming on a 28" with a 19" to one side and a 22" on the other for a while now, and would really miss the sheer desktop real estate of the 28. Still, I'm gonna have a good long think about it :thumb:

Sadly I have no sound at the moment (the cat decided it would be funny to bite the pc connector for the speakers a couple of times), so all I had was a visual of the fans spinning next to a very nice setup.

I remember the old AmBX systems having fans that would respond along with gameplay as well, haven't seen anything similar since (until yogaxl's setup that is).
