Caspian Boarder, Ultra, 4xMSAA - consistently just under Vram 2GB usage. I will test different maps as time permits.
It's pretty much maxing out the vRAM, and still smooth? I'm impressed I'm sure TG, Batman and the rest will be pleased when they see this.
Interesting. It looks like you are getting held back by the VRAM limit, as your FPS seems to drop off a bit. Still, it still looks like you will be running 60FPS without fail.
59 FPS is the lowest I have seen. I was playing Noshar canals TDM with 43 players and the Vram usage did go up to 2.1GB. However I did not notice a decrease in performance, neither did I get any stuttering that you would normally associate with running out of Vram. Gameplay seems to remain very smooth. Though I still have more testing to do in BF3.
ran through first few levels on ultra presets 1.2gb min around 1.7max at 1920x1080 dont have a bigger screen
Ah sorry, my mistake, V sysnc was off. Thought that sounded a bit weird. All this testing is frying my brain.
No, it's not that. It's just the crappy heaven bug that happens right at the beginning of the benchmark. It's fine after the first two seconds of benching.
I am running heaven from my SSD, no shortage of ram and my SLI setup but I also get the stuttering for the first few seconds. Have done on every version of Heaven. After it caches the FPS stays pretty high.
Yeah but it doesn't do it at lower res. I've watched VRAM usage when it does it, and with my 580s, it only does it 1440P upwards. Any lower res, and it doesn't. Plus.. Simon doesn't seem to have that problem with his 3GB cards. I think it's VRAM related. Not that it matters... it's only a benchmark.
Aha. I dint realise that. I run it at 1080. One game that's seriously crushing my SLI setup is Hard Reset. Even set to High it slows to a crawl sometimes. Using MSI on screen data shows the gddr usage approaching 900mb. I have 1gb cards. I don't think the SLI scaling is right on that game since the GPU usage is unbalanced and quite low. It's the steam version.
I don't think its VRAM. My gtx 460 1GB used to do it @ 1680 x 1050 (The highest my screen at the time could go)
It can't be Vram, because my 1.5GB 580's did plenty of runs in Heaven at 1600p with min FPS in the 30's
Here's a single 580 result at 1600p (max AA/AF), just for reference. I'm doing a few benches before swapping out to the 680 ...
