    With a dollop of double-cream for additional gluttony points.

    I'm rather partial to a pain au chocolat and a cappucino. Should I be suffering from the effects of the previous night I'll add a stack of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup.

    This is a meal I used to skip almost every day of the week, but I've discovered that I was wrong to skip it for so many years and now eat breakfast 6 out of 7 days in the week.

    On early weekday mornings, one large bowl of cereal with ice cold milk and some form of fruit cut up over it - Cornflakes, Special K and Cheerios are most common in our cupboard. I love a cheeky bowl of Curiously Cinammon or something else sugar coated every now and then too, although I've been making a concerned effort to stay away from sugary cereals for the past 12 months because... well, stupid amounts of sugar really.

    I also have to have a cup of tea or coffee before leaving the house in the mornings, then I usually stop on my way to work an hour later and have a coffee with either a cereal bar or another piece of fruit. I quickly discovered that working the first half (or third, as it turns out to be some days) of the day in a school requires a silly high level of energy, but it got me into a very good routine of eating. It's made my diet much easier to manage. If anyone is interested, it goes as follows;

    6-7AM - Cereal & tea/coffee
    8AM - Coffee & fruit/breakfast bar
    11AM - Tea & fruit
    2PM - Lunch

    Unfortunately that's where the good routine ends, because I could be eating dinner anywhere between 6PM and midnight. At least the first part of my day is consistent!

    Lately it's been a bowl of Frosties, a banana and a yoghurt. I'm a sucker for three Weetabix though.

    If I have time, it's usually three poached eggs on toast. If I'm rushing, weetabix.

    Second the porridge option with black coffee. A squeeze of maple syrup is the bees knees...

    Or honey. Either way, we should live together or at least make breakfast together.
