On that basis i'm a fanboi of more things than i realised.

 

I'm not sure we should have banned him until he at least had the opportunity to say how much he would pay to hear Benji tell him to shut up to his face. I can't imagine it was very much but I can't help being curious. You never know, he might have put in a big offer and we could all have got some nifty upgrades with it. Or saved it up for the next Steam sale.

So, back to Tomb Raider again. I haven't played one of these since the original on the Playstation all those years ago, and I seem to remember quite enjoying it. How do the various sequels compare to the original in terms of gameplay? Do I need to have played through the series, or is the storyline a bit more superfluous than that?

 

I'm actually quite disappointed I was looking forward to an actual discussion...oh well!

I bought TRIII on Steam just before Christmas, spent many an hour on it after it came out, completely lost most of the time... Alas it doesn't translate well at all, I just can't play games on a keyboard only any more. Spose I should see if my pad could make friends with it...

The new one is a reboot anyway Shirty so story-wise it really doesn't matter what you've played. The first reboots worth of games (Anniversary, Legend and Underworld) are definitely worth playing though, all the good stuff from the originals with none of the crappy bits. The original run was pretty dire by the last few games anyway, never mind controls/graphics being dated.

 

I think I'll go and consult some reviews then!

Finally got a headset with mic so I should sort out my mumble come to think of it.

TR on my list too, it's one of the few games that will tear me away from BF3. For a short while anyway.

 

That was honestly the most spectacular way to rage quit.
