    Yes finaly.

The desk is almost ready for the powdercoater just two more mods:
    - 2 holes in the door for the PSU section.
    - replace the two upstanding sides of the cable cover for flat strips.

So tommorow i am going to the powdercoat factory for a new offer ( because i have more parts then before).

I hope the have time for my desk.

The plan for the local powdercoater have changed.

Why! The manager was not in the house and i wanted the desk powdercoated as soon as possible.
So i searched the internet for a other powdercoat compagny.

Found it 17 km further. I payed them a visit and whe agree for the hole package.

The say the stard next week.

After i came back home without the desk i was a little sick about it. "No desk O boy and if the screw up the desk or drive with a truck over my precious desk". I pickt up the phone and phone the "please take of the desk from the floor before som id..... drive over it". The man was laughing "whe already did it".

So there is nothing for me to do then wait "fingers crossed".

Back to the build. There is more work before i can start building further on the desk.
A new modification that i have plant for later i will do it now.

I want a drawer in the bottom of my two blocks. There i will house a few 3'5" HDD's with on it the Bitspower Black Freezer coolling blocks. So i need a slize in to th blocks for parsing tru the sata \raid cables vertical.

If i wait with the mod i have to dismantle the desk later "no deal".

First i want to make a saw mall "this work the best for me".

Yes it fits. "time for the drill, jigsaw, and the file".

After the slice job i have painted the block with a extra layer of waterbased paint.
The advantage of that is it dont smell and dry verry fast.
Pedestel is back on the block.

Before this evening "friday"is over the blocks are finished.

The second block on a standard "pleasant and easy way to work on them".

Thats all folks "tommorow i have to do a extra shift at the firestation so i am back on sunday morning for som more work".

    Yes i am back.

Lunch time "but not before i place a update" .

Spent a few hours upstairs in my modcave.
Preparing the testing of the Thermaltake RL 560 radiators.
I just miss one item. "seringe".
I do not like to lie about test and items so here is my view of the first impression about these radiators:
    - verry good paint job "must be don by a robot":
    - the surface of the ports are clean and flat so there wil be no connection problems because of rest of paint or tread work:
    - no bend fins;
    - the plugs the use for ceil off the ports are nice "no change for chip off";
(this chip off plastic in my last build causing allot of dammage:
    - good documentation;
At the beginning i did not notice there are 4 ports at one side. My mistake.
After flushing them i found nearly any residu that i shout mention.
Off cours i can not say anything about the result in the system from these radiators. I wil get back to you about that later.

What you see is what you get.
Good documentation. A picture for those how hate to read. And a last warning for those who need a push to read.

I like the separate bags for the items.

I can not remember if the tool below belong to the thermaltake radiators.

Good seal plugs "do not chip off".

a plug that can be tighten wit the tool. I like that.

Ready for filling up this su.....

I flush the radiators two times and open a port ech time on a different side of the radiator.

Job don. On to the mounting of these beasts.

    Update:

My hart is tikking like a machine gun! Why! Because i got news about my desk.

The desk is already 2 weeks in the hands of the powdercoater.
The first mention that the blast the desk "oeps my head turnt red with the thoughts that i get the desk back curved). So a other option was to give the desk a galvanoc treatment. So it is two weeks ago that i left my precious desk at the powdercoater. Yes i am realy lost "where is my desk". The mod cave is almost empty. That is going to change verry soon when i get my desk back. "When" . Well i phoned the powdercoater to ask how far the are. The just received a call from the galvanic compagny that the finished "chromating the desk". So the aspect to finish the powdercoat job next week. It is a few hours ago that i lay down the Phone. My mind is running at full speed now. :wallbash:

    Shopping list:
    - black special kit:
    - double sided tape;

Need to make the new mounting plate for the aquero "5mm alu plate already orderd".

The last week i spent with searching for a few new screen "what to pick".
New screens are comming up ( big 34") or the update for the swift.

I can not make up my mind wich one i am going to buy.

But the most important thing is that i get my desk back next week.

    :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Because the Thermaltake RL 560 radiators take al the space at the front of my caselabs pedestel i need a place for mounting my second Aquero (5 Pro). Yes the best way is in the block under the pedestel. First i am going to order more plates "5mm aluminium". Why 5mm! Thats because the front lines up with the pedestel.

So i made a drilling mall again.

Checking out the dimensions before i make the big drawing of the complete panel.

Big drilling mall is ready and taped on to the panel. Ready to drill the mounting holes for the caselabs brackets.

Had a little fight to get the 5mm thick middle piece out with my jigsaw. :wallbash:
Time to work on the surface. With the panel on a empty paint can the working on the edges is less hard.

Lets see if it fits. Now that the blocks are on it side i can give the bottom two layers of black paint.
Yes it looks better this way. "better then twe white primer".

    Both raw panels are finished.

    More work on the panels.

I mounted the brackets with the poweradjusters and the Aquero 5 Pro.
Something is not good. Mounting the parts with the Original Caselabs brackets make the parts jump forward 5 mm above the panel. But this is no caselabs pedestel so i need to make something els for it.

Altho the mounting is the same like a Original pedestel there is now other panel to cover the rest around the parts.

After a evening braking my 2 braincells i came up with a sollution.

I am going to make one big faceplate for all tree parts and mount it on the panel. This way i dont need the caselabs brackets at the back. "and i can use them in the TH-10 later".

I took of the Original faceplates and made a drilling and cutting mall.

Mall taped on the 2mm aluminium plate.
    Time for the jigsaw.

I used a old mdf piece under the plate during the saw job. With this way i avoid that the jigsaw starts to jump.

    Time to drill som holes.

Time to drill out the centre piece.

I think that i want lightning behind the panel so i made a acrylic piece behind the panel.
I just managed to make a slope edge on one off the sides and sand the surface a bit.
It is already later and i quit for today.

    Looks good he.

    First try out.

Fitted the new front for my aquero 5 Pro and the 4 poweradjusters Ultra in to the front panel of the block.
I have two option "with the 8 mm clear acrylic panel behind it"or without the acrylic.
Off course the panel looks better with leds behind it.

And with boldheat screws or countersink ones!.

All pannels wil be deep black off course.

İt was for your worklog not for screws…

Normally, the screw which we can not hide , we show exaggerated.

and so many screws in a narrow space, wasdiffucult

But your choice is better, at your thick plate.
