I had loads of fun today tearing it up today... I managed to do one grill for the top then it all went tits up. The router bit snapped and took a chunk out of the rear grill, so that got scrapped, I then managed to mess up another grill. So over all a waste of half a day. I blame it on sleep deprivation and about 2 hours sleep last night.:miffed:

I'll start again tomorrow with a clear head and a good nights sleep.:dremel:

    Top and rear grills

Been busy today so not much done, how every I did get round to sorting out the new grills. I got the top one right first go and then mess up the rear one for the 2nd time. It went over the garden fence accompanied by some verbal and landed about 50 yard away on the back of the pub up the road.

Any way so here they are.....

Top grill, I'm having all sorts of trouble getting pics of some thing see through so for now this is as good as it gets...lol....

    And the rear grill/plate...

You might be able to see that I need to file out the edges of the case slightly you can just see the edges of the case showing, but thats easy sorted.
    Thanks for looking guys:thumb:

I've just been looking over what bit's I've got and the stuff I need to finish this thing off . Now bearing in mind I've already got the CPU, PSU , Ram etc, not got the GPU's yet, but they're coming soon. I got to £520. Then I realized I did'nt count the fans....Are you sitting down... 17 of the f**ckers:eeek:

What the hell have I done to myself :waah:

I'm glad it's such a big case, because when if Misses finds out what it's going to cost me I'm going to end up living in it!!

Just been looking on Scans site, even at just over £5 for cheapo's it's going to get expensive. The thing is,I'll also have to think about noise as well with that amount of fans spinning. I might have to come up with a reasonable alternative.

    Thanks a lot Alex.

don't know how reliable aria are, but it seems that they stock akasa's for about £6. inexpensive (comparatively) for a decent brand and quiet. though still just over £100, that is a nice chunk of change for just fans.
    good work so far.

For fans, I've heard that the Coolermaster SickleFlow's are quiet and cheap at only £5.36 on scan.

Today was a good day, got quite a bit done..

First up I tackled the rear panel. Quick fix, I simply rounded out the edges of the cut outs.

I also made up a new panel to cover the DVD as it's butt ugly on show with a clear top panel.

It was then on to the new front panel.

And this is how it came out..Sorry about the lack of in between pics I go to in to it and forgot them.

It still needs smoothing down and blending, but I'll do that tomorrow as I ran out of light..

    Thanks for looking..Comments welcome:thumb:
