Oh yes, the XJ220 is one of my top 3 super cars. What a gorgeous machine! :thumb:

I'm tempted to get an Audi S4 Avant as my next car. I'd like the newer B7, but might be out of my price range, so the B6 will have to do. Always wanted a V8, and this is one I could hopeful afford to run (~15mpg will still be tough though).

Not chrome wheels though. Still looks nice dropped with big alloys.

Dream that I can afford - already own it:

Audi A4 B7 2.0 TFSi Avant Quattro S-Line. And yes it took me 4 months to find one in that spec.

Possibly in the future - an A7/RS6 Avant.

I've a liking for his Pontiac counterpart, the Beaumont.

This is tough one,... R8 springs to mind obviously with the same amount spent on options as per the cost of the car, Porshe GT2 is obviously in there, then as above classics like the Xj220, then what about skyline, nsx, musle cars...list is endless but never settled in your heart on what is your dream car definative.

A man should always be able to represent himself with a musical instrument with passion and style, speak a second language even if just to swear properly. and also put it out there in a non hesitant manner what his dream car is and for others to nod in a knowing apperiative manner of his Genus.

If you actually asking what is my dream car, and we are talking no BS not quoting Aston Martin db9, or dropping Ferrari 308 GTS or E-Types in black because we know they will pass the mark... but actually really putting it out their from heart and soul.

Let me introduce to you the first car in this thread that truely represents a dream car, a car so sick it was remade generations later on the behest of just about every body.

This ladys and gentleman is a Ford GT40 Gulf blue

Could have sworn I saw one of those on the roads once (might have just been a Muira, didn't see the front). They really are so low though, just over a meter tall.

Oh, if anyone ever gets the chance, go visit the Moray Motor Museam in Elgin. Tiny place but such a great selection of cars.

That one WAS mine but I'd have an STI estate, fully forged engine build, WRC AP racing brakes fitted on 17" wheels and leather interior added, maybe a few suspension tweaks but I'd have to keep it near standard as they nailed it on UK supplied cars the first time.

Failing that an RS6 should my numbers ever get drawn on the lottery but would need to be manual as I like the interaction of changing gears .........

Ok, so the DREAM is a Ferrari 458... I know - it's a cliche, but it's SUCH a pretty cliche.
Also - a Balboni Edition RWD Lambo Gallardo.
I have a thing for Italian cars.
    Also, an AMG SLS.

Realistically, and on-topic, I am pretty much buying mine in late January... I COULD afford something more sensible, and I COULD probably afford a nice Impreza or something of that ilk... but alas, I want a sports car.

^^ Very likely that exact one.

Something I could afford? Well, I'm going to get started on it within the next 12 months. I'm picking up an E30 and restoring it to mint exterior and slightly tweaked under the hood. A weekend special sleeper, if you will.

A guy a couple blocks from where I live has one of these, as far as I know it's for sale as well. I would not mind buying it and spending some time fixing it up. It is a really nice car.

Hence the name, GT40, 40 being 40 inches from the ground.

Plenty of replicas available, there's one in the next village from me, spotted it in the garage the other week as I was driving past.

    Seconded.

It's practical, quick, very techy, and 'reasonably' priced given some of the stuff being posted here.

As for a die-hard "realistic" dream car... probably a used Ferrari/Maserati as they can be obtained in good working order for a reasonable price if you have a decent salary and save up for a few years.
