Thanks everyone :thumb:, seeing it all shiny makes me want to create a mirror finish on these parts, I was originally just gonna have the brushed aluminium look but I might see if I can a mirror finish to match with the rest of the case.

Its not bad only around 2 to 2.5KG, its definately worth the extra weight :D

The next update will have to be monday now as my college assignments are due in next week so I'm having to finish thoughs off instead of doing this.

See, all that work you've put in to this... it does mean something to the gallery. Just went through the whole log again as a reminder of how you and dare I say, we, all watching, got here. learned a lot through conversations with you and yours with others. :D don't get much better. Crazy, If it wasn't for this I wouldn't have known to ask AnG3L whats up. wow. and :D it's all good..it does go around

Thanks LooseNeutral :thumb:, I think i might neaten my Log up abit once it's finished to make it easier to understand which parts go where.

    Hehe, thanks Fedmas :D

The next update will be soon, I'm just waiting for a new palm sander.

The sander didn't arrive today so I grinded down the front panel with the flap disc, to remove all the little holes:

For some reason the grinder is pretty much useless at smoothing out the flap bit on top so I'll have to use the sander for that.

Thanks Fedmas :thumb:, I'm a bit of a newbie to photography but I'm slowly learning. I'm also saving for a macro lens.

    lol :D

Thanks Waynio, yeah I cant wait to get it fixed on. Once I've sanded it all I'm gonna mod the bandsaw I use to make it vertical so I can chop the parts in half length ways.

    LOL :D

I hope so too :), I will have to find someone with a verticle bandsaw otherwise.

Heres the top panel after some sanding with the palm sander:

Looks Excellent. Are you going to paint it? Personally I would have left it as bare metal as it looks so nice. Though I guess fingerprints would be a problem then.
