Open to what?, I keep seeing you nut jobs post comments along this line

This whole situation of people saying that Osama is not dead stinks of the far right birther issue in the US, only when the helmet footage of the marine poping him between the eye's will it appease a few people.

I'm not sure it is anything to do with being nutjobs. It's more that some on here are happy not to believe everything they are told without evidence. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Who is more of a nutjob, someone who believes everything they are told, or those who just want evidence to back it up?

Is there anything in history that makes us think misinformation has ever been used by people in authority?

Evidence is fine by me if that's what you want.

In the absence of it tho there seems to be two trains of thought

    1) The mission was a success, he was left disfigured, and posting pictures of the aftermath would only inflame an already extremely tense situation.

    2) Some random writes a paragraph on how it's a massive coverup with the entire worlds media watching (insert more random babbling)

I'm far more content with reason and thought that option 1 is the more likely outcome.

They are making money delaying the payments, assuming they do it en masse. The last firm I worked for had a habit of delaying payments for the very same reason, I'm sure.

Been reading the NYT and they said Obama and co were getting a live update from the CIA Director, not from a uav etc. (but who knows really!!!), as the DEVGRU teams were assaulting the compound. Plus on a side note nobody can identify the helicopter that crashed yet, all hush hush at the moment.

Well I've since heard that the presidents group were watching live head-cam footage of the event.

    And that Osama was unarmed.

CIA director on PBS said Obama didn't see the shots but were monitoring the events in real time.

Yes of course he did, the US Secret Service and the Queen of Holland helped him fly planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon... How could anyone not know that?!?!?

In case it's not immediately clear I am being sarcastic but I do love the conspiracy nuts and their crazy ideas.

As a Dutchman I can with some informed perspective assure you that the Queen of Holland is an aristocretin. She has neither the brains for, nor the interest in spook stuff. She is rich and privileged and that's as far as her little world view goes. The high-pitched whirring sound you hear, incidentally, is her poor deceased mother spinning in her grave.
