LIT - TO MUCH TIME ON HANDS, Go find your wife/girlfriend/Fiancee/Slanneshi Daemon and go to town for a few hours!
Thats interesting as there not ment to be out till Saturday though should be good to see the new models, nice conversion with the guns.
I like my time and money! He's very.. Understanding, shall we say. He wouldn't let me walk away with any of it, but like I say, it didn't look nearly as bad as the Draigo did. I saw some Bretonian character, Black Templar EC, Abaddon, Yarrick and a Hive Tyrant, they all looked reasonable flash wise. They weren't flash free, don't get me wrong, but they weren't terrible. GW manager was saying it's pretty straight forward to clean up.
My first bit of warhammer modding, Twin chain sword Converted using two left hand chain swords, but swapping the hand on the right one from a right hand arm holding a bolt pistol. Also got a few of the leftover parts from my termie Lord to turn a marine into an aspiring champion. Although I think the power fist is a bit large (as its for termie armour)
With Games Workshops price rises and the amount of work you already put into these... I'm suprised you have either! Saying that I'm seriously considering buying around 25 Terminators and 2 Land Raiders and making it my "Forward Command Unit" for my Chapter Just to say I have them!
I accidentally bought another Land Raider Crusader and Venerable dread last night >.> I still find time to work, sleep, eat, and play copious amounts of video games
Where's my invite to game playing? Has the Emperor condemned you? I'm tempted to... seriously. I just want to make Kef'fal (my chapter master) and have him as bad ass as can be.
Looking for a colour scheme for my eldar which are under- coated black atm what do people think of these http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/c...t=2&multiPageMode=true&_requestid=1972629 The major craftworlds are nice, though im tempted to go for a different one.
Right, after a day with Finecast, my conclusion is thus: It's awesome. Survivability up the backside (Even one of the more retarded locals couldn't break a Lictor or a Hive Tyrant by being a clumsy oaf), all the "flash" that could be considered an issue is actually a complete non-issue. Look at the sprue right and the stuff falls off. You can literally scratch the flash off with a fingernail, or the back of a craft knife. Takes paint like a pro, too. Lelith Hesperax (Focus of todays work): DE Succubus (Secondary): Abaddon The Despoiler (Not done anything but base coat): Commisar Yarrick (Tertiary): Offical Emperors Champion: My "Carnifex" EC (Colour scheme of the 'fex he slew last week): My shoddy pictures don't show it, but Finecast is damned good. When I get Castellan Crowe in finecast, I'll do a side by side if anyone's still interested by then, but the difference in that model is surprising.
Awesome stuff Yep I've been seeing some other gamer reviews of finecast and it does sound pretty great to be honest.
Yeah, I am so much happier with it than I was metal - I will absolutely be re-buying anything in metal I avoided before, or already have, just because the metal ones are such a pain (IMO) - They're the only models GW make (made) that I feel it's worth clear coating (Although, I use stuff meant for cars - matt of course) because (In my experience) of their tendency to chip and generally suck at staying together without massive exercises in greenstuff and pinning.
Wekk im trying to stay away from the main craftworlds though i like iyaden, im really tempted by Zahr Tann, whats the thoughts? Not gotten to my finecast figures yet- could have bought so many but reisted to what i needed/ though apprently GW has sacked about 9/10 mangers as they have allowed finecast to be seen before Saturday.
