Oh wow. That Res is absolutely stunning. It will make a fine centerpiece to the build. Or am I wrong, and this is only one tiny detail of many?
I've got mixed feelings about steampunk lately, but this is nice...real nice. All the fab work is f'cking epic!
Beutifull work on the res mate, just one question on the block how did you get it so nice without a milling machine?
Hello again!!! Sorry, haven't been here for a while - been busy with work and study. For the moment I am trying to resume my work with constructing the computer. It has been done quite a lot with this project. I will download in bits. For the moment I don't know myself. It mighty few more details. There are two main parts in costruction: Res and turbine. I was just using a file and a hack saw... Thanks for the comments!
Some of the photoes of my progress The fan regulators handles... Made the dial connection and tested it to work; How it looks during day time and how it looks during night time (This star is only for the decoration and it will not be used) Also I cut the 8mm brass-copper pipe and made a few rings; Then I printed the digits on the plain paper and filled it with epoxy glue (Just testers...) After 24 hours I put it in a water and cleaned the paper off Then the dial was tested again and after testing I fixed the "lenses" The construction of the dial is finished and I'll put it in a safe place until the completion of this project.
Wow!, I love the way you've made the dials always nice to see something for the first time. Keep the updates coming
its quite eerie looking that lol.. I like it.. A bit like in one of those films when you go down to the cellar and the furnace is operated with brass dials etc ... with a orange glow .. Well I say you go down ..I mean stupid teenage americans....I digress .. great looking start to this project .. I'll be poping back to look it over again
Wow, nice work so far! Those lenses really turned out nice and old looking. I'm eager to see when it is all finished!
This epoxy resin gave me ideas (type writer style keyboard ). Very nice work so far. Cannot wait to see more.
I love steampunk when done well & this is well beyond awesome . Think I'm getting overly inspired again .
This is often the problem ... no time, no cash, but losts of inspiration due to lots of talented people here
