    4/10 Old Quad core, 4GB memory is limiting now. GTX 460 is good. :)

    You just get a 10 straight away Simon. Another monitor would be nice though, so I'll put your final score as:
    9.999999999999999999999999999/10. :p

    7/10

    The Phenom II and GTX 460 are pretty old by today's standards but the 12GB RAM and two IPS monitors save you from a 5/10 :)

    FYI @ the person who scores mine, Poseidon is my desktop/gaming rig, Atlantis is my home server :)

    I'm gonna go with a 8.5/10 for the now standard ix 2x00k & 8GB Vengeance combo :D Excellent graphics, good sized SSD plus a pair of RAIDed F3s :)

    *Awaits sub 5/10 scores for non overclocked AMD and DDR2 based rig inside an ancient case with sub 1920x1080 TN screens* :lol:

    maybe we should start over...breaking each score down to a category lol...
    cpu 0-10
    gpu 0-10
    mobo 0-10
    ram 0-10
    hdd 0-10
    psu 0-10
    case 0-10
    cooling 0-10
    kb/mouse 0-10
    monitor 0-10

    then an equal average of all

    so personally, i'd rate simon's as follows:

    cpu = 9.5 - best consumer cpu out there and very nice oc but it's not under ln2 @ 6 ghz
    gpu = 9.25 - taking into acccount single card sli options are iffy, great setup, but 2x7970's beat it
    mobo = 9.75 - it's top end, but i never give 10's!
    ram = 9.75 - could be faster, but he has 32 gb
    hdd = 9.5 - could be raid'ed 240's but the other 2 and the samsung f3 for storage bring it up
    psu = 8.75 - 1500 watts, solid brand...the 1200 watt version had efficiency issues
    case = n/a - no info/seems like i saw a test bench, but will skip it
    cooling = n/a - no info/gonna have to put an * on this score
    kb/mouse = n/a no info
    monitor = 9 - not totally up on monitors, but know it's a very good one, not the best though

    total = 9.36*

    * - no info for 3 categories

    whew...that was alot of work...someone get lancer

    I'd downmark you just for the creative Soundcard. I honestly don't understand how anyone can use one on Window 7 with their awful drivers.

    FOr reference; Simon's running a Phobya 1080Radiator, plus a 120, isn't it?

    That is the exact reason why i'm using Daniel_K's modified drivers. The Creative ones ran horribly. Trying to change a setting would cause a ~5 second delay before anything happened. I was thinking about changing over to an Asus Xonar, but my friend had issues with their drivers too so I'm a bit stuck at the moment.

    I've only run into two issues with the Xonar cards at the second: One: Because of the way it works; if Xear3D is running (D3D emulation on hardware, basically) and a game crashes; Sound loops until a system restart. That peeves me off. Two; It uses a flippin Floppy Connector for power. Why not something more elegant? I understand why it's there, but why an ugly floppy connector that can be jogged loose?

    Count yourself lucky that you only need the 1 floppy connector, I need 2. One for the card and one for the front panel. You'd think that there would be a spare 4 wires in the giant IDE-esque ribbon that runs between them but noooo..... :wallbash:

    Because I'm bored :p

    Even though I think someone's already rated your rig lancer
    6.5/7 out of 10

    - Good CPU, but no overclock :jawdrop:

    - Crosshair II, good board, I had one of those for a little while :thumb:

    - only 4gb of RAM, but it is DDR2, and relatively fast DDR2 from what I can remember :)

    - gtx 470, good card, but it's getting on abit now

    - Enermax PSU :thumb::D

    - Sweet SSD :thumb: BUT NO RAID O? :nono:

    - Antec 900, good case, but a bit old and industrial looking

    I'm going to try and defend my lack of overclocking :p The main reason why I haven't bothered to overclock is because I don't have any lagging or low FPS issues in the games that I play. I also spend most of my time browsing the web where 4 cores at 3.8, 4GHz just aren't needed so I've left it stock with Cool N Quiet enabled so it drops down to 800MHz a core and temps also stay in the low 30's (the Phenom is beneath a Scythe Mugen II Heatsink).

    Considering the SSD, GTX 470 and the Antec 900 were all freebies from my friend I think I've scored well! :lol:

    Not really much else I can add given what you just said- I'd give it probably 6/10 too because of not using on-board audio but lose points for stating the x4 955 is '@stock' I'd just not state it, lol.
    Also Phenom is getting a little elderly imo.

    Bet mines going to be torn apart- dont be too harsh xD

    10/10, the N40L is one of my favorite systems! I absolutely love super small form factor!

    Have you even used one in years!? They did have a problem - but last few creative soundcards I have had have been just fine, this card sounds absolutely fantastic and the drivers have been spot on since the day i got it.

    9/10, exceptional CPU, great RAM, excellent GPU and storage setup, great cooling, -1 point for a SoundBlaster.

    To put an end to all the arguing over soundcards, HT Omega Clario is about the best you're gonna get in the sub $150(US) range for an internal sound device, but lets face it. Internal soundcards are crap compared to proper external sound devices. I mean we have a triple HD Accelerator in the Mac Pro just to drive input/output to our racks, then they do all the work. But then again, Dad's a professional audio producer so I might have higher standards than most.

    Anyways to top it off: HT Omega is better than Asus or Soundblaster.
