here is mine, i have it set to change the wallpaper automatically every 3 minutes,

 

I'm quite kicked that you like it. It's a picture I took of a RR Trent 1000 on the starboard wing of a Boeing 787.

The color version might work better for you if you're not picky about backgrounds like I am.

I'm not at home at the moment, so I'll upload the 1920px wide of both color and b&w in 30 minutes to an hour.

When did Air india buy a 787?? I thought they had no money? or is the Govt still keeping them afloat?

Either way I shall not be flying with them ever.......worst service, planes, staff...the list goes on. I think the only reason that they get customers is the 46Kg weight limit.

When ill go India next im gonna go with the Emirates.

Yeah, they're a rubbish airline and in the crapper financially. They need to trim flights, sell/lease aircraft and concentrate only on routes that are high density and profitable. Of course, none of this will happen, because they're content to burn taxpayers' money.

That picture has always looked odd for me due to the way the blur is almost a straight line (due to the gas or whatever) just looks weird in my opinion.

Quite right. That blur is from the jetwash out the back. One of the reasons it's awesome!!

It's not lens blur, it's the got air from the engines, as you say.

It's how it looks in real life as well. The extreme speed and temperature of the turbine of those things will to that.

 

I wasn't saying it was lens blur, I said it was gas, I didn't know (nor was I bothered about knowing ), and it's not the effect I dislike, looks pretty cool, it's merely the straightness of it's left edge that annoys me, I want a more gradual change

I see what you mean now, the angle of it at the left makes come almost straight down and does look a bit odd. Hand't really noticed before lol.
