Yeah, its been a real ride the last few days. On monday I had oceans of time to finish it, now it looks like I barely will make it (but that is still ok) This is just a small part. I had to fit into the legs : 24 wire ATX, 4+4 wire mobo pwr, 6+6 wire GPU pwr, 4 wire molex, HDMI 1.4, CAT5e, USB2.0 and 2 x 3/8 tubing. Without causing too much restriction in the loop ! Thanks man ! Ha, Thanks! Unfortunately that one aint mine! Wish I made CPU mag though. There are 2 other AT's so i have discovered after hearing about the AT in CPU. Both air cooled and very cool projects. It good to see diversity like that!
SHOWTIME !!!! I managed to get a new 2600k and a new mobo just in time and spent yesterday night building it into the AT-AT. So got a whole list of little things to do like plug some holes in the legs and front, restore a rim on the hood, lightproof the hood, finish the res, place some feet, adjust the 2 layer plexi frame, place 2m2 styrene, install fancontroller, Add 2 leds, clean the whole model, pack for 3 days of LAN and breathe … Here is the Final Teaser ! Later!
TP10 here we come !!! Arrived in one piece at the lanparty. Over a 1000 people, aint bad at all! From the start a lot of people around the AT-AT so little time to update ! From tomorrow I will do a daily update from the buildlog ! And I will do my best to add some video's too!
Thanks guys ! Its been a real fun project to do also. Except for crapping out my mobo and cpu, but i am going to consider them as casualties of war ...
Here is the main body. I had to get a lot of stuff out of there to make room for the mini ITX board. With the interior out of there I could get a better view on how the fit the hardware. The location of the reservoir was quickly found. The space was exactly 60mm. I was expecting to have to restore the model a lot here, but i found a very nice 60 mm res that fitted perfectly. The inside of the leg. I needed to fit a lot of wires, cables and tubing in there as I wanted NO visible cables ! The start of the base, and figuring out the locations for the radiators. I am going to need a bigger office soon ! And that was it for this update! With the rough build thought out its off to the finer parts !
Thanks man ! Thanks ! Hahaha, yeah it was tough to miss it, lol! But it wasnt the biggest baby on show though ! Homienators TH10 with Pedestal had that honour (we were with over 40 watercooled pc's there)
WHERE IS THE GIRL?! I am really missing the girl on the back of the AT-AT Nice project otherwise, clearly you hadn't enough time in the sense that I sense you could do better with extra time, but it is already nice..
Yeah, I was hoping to score some babes at the LAN but there were none! Everything could be better with more time, but with 3 weeks I think I gave it one hell of a shot! Making 3rd place on the LAN was great! Thanks, yeah I knew i had to pull a rabit out of the hat to get it done in time. Shorting the mobo and CPU really put a dent in the final work like airbrushing the cables in the feet and covering the base with more styrene plating. Thanks! It really didnt have to be a 3 mm bigger or wider or it wouldnt fit. Spent a whole day trying to make it fit with the fittings I had! Thanks man! Its gonna look sweet in my office next to the EURISKO! A new buildupdate is in the making !
