Ordered it via GameSeek who still have 2 left in stock after the one I ordered (There stock system updates automatically it seems which I like).

Glad I didn't have to sink to ordering it from Scan, after the fiasco last time I used them.

 

Servers going down in 30 minutes for the update. Should be back up by around 5-6pm

Yeah, tonight will be a bumfight anyway, what with everyone downloading and trying to login. Hopefully things will have stabilized by tomorrow.

Just need everyone make sure they download the update tonight, as it'll probably be a big one.

 

Is it bumfight or bunfight? Always though it was bunfight myself

 

A bumfight is a fight between two hobos, but I believe you are right, the actual term is bunfight.

That said, bumfight kinda works too.

Be sure to save keybindings if you have customised them

c:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings You then backup the file Custom.binds, or re-name it. You can call the file anything.binds and it will show up as a new preset in the options menu. *edit to note that AppData is a hidden folder by default, you may need to type it in to the explorer address bar to access it.

Online for about 2 mins, game crashed now I can't connect to server.....

Expected really. Might wait till tomorrow.....

I am playing with my xbox 360 controller till the thrustmaster arrives- I learned to quite like playing with it actually.

I just did 5 mins of the single player again since the patch today and theyve changed the missions quite a bit too, I found them a bit easier and the controls had all changed.

 

Patched but server is offline for now. Goose bumps when starting it up!

 

I just had a little fly round online, I docked at a space station and used supercruise to go to the nearest planet then used light speed to go to a star which was fun.

Then when I got there, something attacked me and killed me. What fun my first steps were.

 

this is how you get ED working in the DK2 apparently, it doesn't just work

 

Got a bit of a play this morning, and after a few crashes it ran fine. Got like 7000 credits to collect from 2 missions which should help a bit. Quite a weird learning curve this game

 

Ahh shoot, can't make this evening Tied in to a Planetside 2 server smash training session at 2000, so unless you're starting at 1900...
