    I think the bigger issue is the low fan speed and GPU usage.

    @Smellyhead, have you tried setting a manual fan curve? If you can get the fan speed sorted, try running one of the heaven benchmark on max settings to see if the gpu usage is still limited to that. Also, did you do a clean driver install after putting in the new card?

    Parking ticket whilst going to Hospital, used to live on the same road I parked on, didn't notice the really small sign about resident badges only until I returned.

    Probably would have got a ticket in the car park, 2.5 hour delay to get x-ray and doctor to say, we need you to come back again

    suns's gotten to my ATV cover and weakened it. bloody thing ripped as i was taking it off to clean the bike.

    Re-felting the shed roof this afternoon I forgot to put some gloves on before slopping the glue about. Half an hour of scrubbing and removing of skin later....

    If the Mrs (or you..:grin:) has any nail polish remover, that'll do the trick nicely.

    If all else fails, the fumes will make you not care anymore....

    Yeh I tried that, but there's so many cuts and grazes it stung to buggery. Her makeup wipes were quite successful and got me that far, but can't get into my prints and under nails. Was going to try TIM cleaner but can't find it now and I know I've had it recently :rollingeyes:

    IIRC WD40 or similar will get that stuff off. Assuming it's bitumen type goop. Some say olive oil or baby oil too.

    Isopropyl alcohol will shift it too, so will orange oil, with a teensy bit more added sting. :D

    iMac has dies and this time I fear it's beyond economical repair. Added to the fact I'm not in a position to replace it anytime soon I think my ability to edit photos and do a bit of light gaming is about take a hit.

    WRONG - WD40 is not a lubricant. You want some proper oil to stop those squeaks, or grease if it's a heavy-duty joint.

    When my mechanism gets sticky, a good scrub with a nail brush when in the shower, usually sorts it out.:grin:
