    Finished!

I was a little worried if there was enough rad for a 9900k and 2080super, but after an hour of Valley running on max settings coolant temp was at 37C, max cpu core temp during the hour 60C, max gpu temp 51C. Rad fans were at about 950rpm , 2 not on rads 750, nice and quiet. With everything absolutely stock it got 7300 in superposition.

Found the bolts I wanted to use for my case mod. Ends up after tearing apart then tidying the whole summerhouse they were in my car the whole time. Means I can hopefully make some progress tonight and if I'm lucky finish it up.

    Love the build @The_Crapman !

Got some great news this morning. I have been accepted for the internal position I applied for a little over 4 weeks ago. :)

New expanded role that no longer has to deal with Brexit (for context my current role is responsible for Customs / trade compliance in a large multi national business... Brexit has been, well, let's just say I have more grey hairs now..) and comes with a ~30% gross pay bump (~25% actual take home) plus training package. Also had confirmed that a further bump will occur once training completed & more responsibility handed over.

Got the transitional piece to work through but really looking forward to the new challenge! :D:D:D

Thanks. It was way more hassle than it really should have been. Some due to discrepancies between sketchup models and reality, some from hardware shortcomings and some completely of my own doing. At one point yesterday I thought I was going to have to rip half of it out to fix a problem, but saved it with a couple of cable ties and rubber washers. Turned out good though, looks great in natural light too. Just a shame it's not mine and it'll be going home this weekend.

Also my brother hasn't seen it yet, so I can't wait for him to come round and pick it up.

    Successful day off work:-
    • Smart meter installer turned up EARLY!!! Both meters replaced & working inside 4hrs inc sync time.
    • Outdoor Ring camera & video doorbell installed by me and surprisingly working.
    • Next week's shopping done before Storm Ciara hits.
    • Chippy tea.

This might be the wine talking, but I don't often step back and appreciate how far my life has come.

    • I failed my degree in spectacular fashion but I still have a highly technical job in IT
    • I've almost tripled my pay in the last 12 years
    • I can afford indulgences like a £110 Lego model or a £360 console on a whim
    • I had a pay rise and bonus this year
    • I had a second and totally unexpected bonus awarded today
    • I have a group of really close friends who have stuck together for over 20 years
    • I met someone I would quite literally do anything for
My life isn't all sunshine & rainbows, but it's easy to get lost in the negatives and ignore the positives.
