Wonder what the pros & cons would be over cancelling this season & concentrating on 2021... but allow for some kind of testing to keep the data flowing...?
Australia maybe postponed / cancelled, if it goes ahead at least one team will be absent. Bahrain currently planned to go ahead behind closed doors. China postponed / cancelled. Vietnam currently still scheduled to go ahead (but serious doubts it'll actually happen). Netherlands / Spain / Monaco in May will probably be in doubt sooner than later given the rapid spread of the virus in western Europe. So potentially 1st 3rd of the season in serious doubt?
I'm expecting to go down like Moto GP has, no racing before May at the earliest. It happened earlier in Moto GP with 5 teams and a third of the riders being based in the north of Italy, but it's coming to F1 too.
Sky News now also say the race is off whilst the FIA F1 page has no news, as if the race is still going ahead.
Whatever happens or doesn't... the FIA, F1 and Liberty have cocked it up spectacularly... none of them come out looking good... or competent.
This weekend looks like US GP 2005 all over again. We will have Hass, Racing Point, Williams, Alfa and Alpha fighting it out, then race organizers will have to pay refunds.
Now BBC saying two F1 sources are saying it's off. Aussie mate saying the cars have been out on the track as although kimi and vettel gone home. Clear as mud. Edit: or it may go ahead with no crowds. And none of the big teams. Wtf?
About damn time. Also, Mikel Arteta tests positive for Kung Flu, so looks like there will be no Premier League this weekend either.
