Got p***ed off at having to reset my Sky Q hub daily (it looks fine on their tests, but stops answering requests from my LAN)

EDIT: TP-Link Archer GX90 router This has been returned as it doesn't work on Sky FTTP

For those not aware, this is an add-on board for the Terasic DE10-Nano FPGA development board. It's an FPGA-based console that can run almost anything up to Playstation. The DE10-Nano is not bloody cheap, they've nearly doubled in price thanks to semiconductor issues.

Nothing much. Apart from a super bargainous pair of Vans.

I usually wear a pair of Adidas Espadrilles for working in. Thing is after 8 years they are proper grotty. They also have every colour of every bike I've ever painted on them lol.

One was in a shop window. Cost me £10 delivered. I thought about dyeing them etc but matter of fact is they will both look like crap after about a week, so I won't even bother.

I very much appreciate the effort taken to cross out the photo and re-upload.

£28 any good to you (Home & Bus or Prof Plus, although don't know what the difference is)? I have an affiliate link that I've never used, am intrigued to find out if/how it works and doubt I'm allowed to post on here in public, unless I'm mistaken.

I just got absolutely shafted, and it's very likely that I'll have to pay VAT once it hits these shores. The things we do for hobbies...

Did the direct preorder at $180 not work? I see it's now changed to shipping at the end of *this* month instead of the last...

I'm short, we'll see. I've placed the order and added my student details & ID as they requested, but it remains to be seen whether the order goes through at academic pricing. And it remains to be seen when they actually ship it. Plenty of people are reporting successful shipping, despite the pre-order warning. But this is why I pay for things like this on credit card, so I have some recourse if things go wrong.

The "shafted" part is because these things are so damn expensive compared to what they used to be!

Picked up a sort of low quality toolbox to hold the kit I use most reglaurily, I'm awful for just traipsing it all back into the garage and heaping it on the bench. I've got a larger one I'd like to have used for the purpose but it would end up monstrously heavy.

I've been looking at subs... originally I wasn't going to get one, but I decided to see if I could pick up something cheap that would work well with the Eris 3.5s. I was lucky to score a set of old Dell A525 speakers for a tenner on Gumtree, and after (literally) chopping off the satellite speakers and boxing up the volume control, I now have a compact sub that can be switched off/on as desired and the output adjusted independently from the Eris speakers. Obviously nothing fancy like adjustable crossover frequency or phase control etc., but the enclosure is of good design and quality (it's even got a half-decent port) and the little 4" driver really packs a punch.
