Just like a sliding cover but to open it you push it inwards and slide it behind the rest of the casing. To close (it should have a small lip at 90 degrees) you pull it back across and it springs into the cutout for it and completely hides your fan. It would have to be square or rectangular though.
Hmmm... I'd stealth them then. You know, fix the screws to the inside of the case.. have you seen the grills that come with cheiftec cases as standard now? They look like 80mm car speaker grills. Very nice, I don't know where you would get them in silver.
like this??? http://www.chieftec.com/images/AG/0593.jpg if thats not it try looking here for a pics of it.... i haven't seen this i don't think... i checked the site but all i came up with was the above pic..... http://www.chieftec.com
i ordered 2 of these http://www.mcbworld.com/com/SystemCooler.jpg so i don't have to make some obvious fans holes right on top, should work well, i hope stay tuned please host images on your personal server cderalow
i got the fans in today, and i also got the cab;e for my video card which will extend the port to the outside of the case, all i need now is a gender changer for that......and do something with the hard drive
HOW DAM NFREAKY IS THAT??! About 3 months ago I purchased a similar case and started to the exactly the same mod!! WEIRD!!! I never finished tho due to lack of time and work and other things.. like needing my server straight away.
cool project and nice case, but why did you put the mobo on the right side rather then the left side of the briefcase?
det, he wanted the ports to all be internal BTW, OD and I just finished doing the exact briefcase pc... shes supposed to be writing a worklog.... ill go whip her till she does it.
it's on the right side, because all the breifcases i see have them on the right with the back of a normal case cut out and put in there, and i don't like that look since it doesn't look like a briefcase after you do that........so it's on the right so i can fit my PSU in there, and have room for the extra wires for all of the ports, which i am extending to the ouside of the case.....i want to keep it looking like a briefcase as much as i can......
it's been while, but i have since addes my side exit fan and cleaned up all the wires with some plastic wrapping
I have the same breifcase! (Yep you've probably heard it a million times) The aluminum mesh filters are awesome, they look a lot like the texture of the breifcase.
