Not sure how our sub is split between phone/tv/bb, but based on some guesswork below, I'd say around £7 month.

    £32 total
    - £10 phone line
    - £5 v+
    - £10 XL TV
    - £7 10MB BB

Even less reason to trust speedtest.net, I've just had 2.5Mbit upload speed from home, which is clearly wrong as I'm on the Virgin 20mb package, which is 1Mbit up.

Unless going through VPN to work is confusing it, but it still has to go through the pipes to my house.

That's for £7.34 on O2 8meg service. When I first got the connection it did sync at 11meg for a week. :( pity they throttled it.

Well, it picked up my location worng (as being in Johannesburg), but that's probably due to the work internet being routed through JHB from here.
To the speedtest server in JHB (from JHB), i get 10Mb/s average... which is nice.

from the JHB "location" to the "namibian speedtest server":

didn't even know we had a server here, but apparently...

Edit: YES, that is sad... very very sad.

ive noticed your paying an extra £5 for the V+, Im also getting V+ because I am also on the XL package and that already includes the monthly charge for the V+ box, unless your using your old V box in another room?....

Ah sorry, you're right, I forgot that V+ is free for XL customers :duh: :)

In that case the share of the £32 for BB will be higher... maybe just over a tenner.

:eeek: That can't possibly be right. Have you tried testing to different servers?

This package isn't offered anymore (20/20) but they have 25/15 for $69 a month alone, no phone or TV. But who needs them anyway? We currently have the tv/internet/phone deal but will be likely dropping the phone for Ooma and ditching the TV since there's so little to watch plus so many commercials.

Would people mind adding whether they are:

    a) Regular ADSL
    b) LLU enabled ADSL
    c) VM fiber/cable

I only ask as I am looking for a new uncapped ISP on my non-LLU line to replace tiscal.

    Reason :miffed::

Quick one from work (local council LAN):
