Results@home. Need my uni connection back
i wish... 3rd time in 2 days speedtest gives me stupid results, 2.3 MB/s is what i really have.
i hate sbc soo much.
Mr Virgin has been around today and brought toys with him...
I'm giggling like a schoolgirl right now tbh
The service (Sky) is apparently being upgraded over the next few weeks so I'm hoping it gets a bit quicker.
BT have REAAALY out done themselves this time.
Yep, thats the reason Im now off to Virgin. I know this isnt bad for an 8mbps connection, however according to BT I will never get more than 5 anyway. Also Virgin have just slashed the price of their 50mbps connection.
And the best part is....
My neighbors are paying for it
Careful. If you're in a heavily (or even moderately) studented area, Virgin sucks.
Customer service, reliability and speed seems to just drop off, they clearly have a flag on your account if you're in a studenty postcode that says "student scum, treat like poo"
I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service and reliability, and clearly the speed is there, but then again I live around 6 miles away from either uni and the city centre.
Thats my virgin line this year at the moment.
However in halls of residence 2 years ago, as some people may have seen in my custompc sig, i gained a 65mb/s download and a 25mb/s upload, and it wasnt a university line either, was ASK4. ( i was next door to BT in newcastle though )
well my test results argue that... im in a heavily studented area, called heaton, where its 50% students
I rather like my ISP.
hi.i am from India,my speedtest.net result is
How the faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack?
Always had a decent service from Virgin and I'm less than a mile from the centre of Nottingham
I'm on the 10Mb service
I'll be upgrading to 60 megs Fiber for the same price at the same ISP. Woo. Could get 120 for a bit more but i think even 60 is overkill.
Talktalk free broadband isn't all that bad really
Tiscali isn't that bad either.
