its been a while since any major news came out for non backers but I must say I like what I'm seeing a lot so far. the multiplayer demo fight shows off some quite impressive mechanics and it really looks/feels like an interactive version of the tabletop.
just spent several hours with it, oh god its amazeballs. if they nail the campaign/merc management then this is going to be heading for my GOTY.
Is this worth picking up for the $60 asking price? Fecking loved MechCommander back in the day (2 less so).
really looking forwards to this, backed it the first day on kickstarter. Going to hold off on the beta though, want to play it in its full glory on release. Looks promising though.
I will be picking it up as well. As for $60 for a game being worth it, I feel it is if you can get an hour of good game play per dollar. $60 is the number where sweet spot is. Adjust for inflation and you'll find a lot of great older games are in that range, back in the glorious days of buying a box with manuals and floppies.
Greetings! Overall I am liking it. Would like the animations to be a bit faster and had some obstructions, that shouldnt be there, firing from high places to low. But yeah it seems the game is in a good path.
This is one of the few games I'm actually actively looking forward to. Loved Mech Commander back in the day and if its half as good as that and XCOM: Enemy Unknown combined I'll be happy. I'm a backer but going to wait for the full release before trying it.
Excellent news, man I'm hyped for it. After RDR2 this is easily my most anticipated game of this year.
with the retarded stuff ive been hearing rockstart coming out with over their future monitization shenanigans id take RDR2 with a pinch of salt. personally i cant wait to bclimb about the mech ab again, best part of Mechcommander imo
As long as they don't touch the single player beyond skins I'll be happy. MP doesn't interest me in the slightest. Always enjoyed the salvage aspect so specifically targeting certain parts of mechs to maximise profits sounds very interesting to me. If it even comes close to X-Com and Mech Commander I'll be over the moon with it. Can easily see a couple hundred hours being ploughed into it if that is the case.
I loved Mech Commander (though number 2 was poor) and was never really a fan of the Mech Warrior titles. @Gunsmith how does this stack up against MC? Worth a pre-order you reckon?
