Yes, it's true that the case will not be light at the end.
Now, he weighs about 9kg.

So as promised the update of the hard disk support:
Already cut the sheet with the shear and pointing holes for the slots that will to escape the hot air upwards.

Now the conventional polishing, and then drillingthe holes for fixation.
I then create my guides for the supports hard disks in the bars "U" aluminum.


While the top bars are simply cut to 120mm, the bottom ones are a bit more sophisticated
I drilled a hole to put a stop pin to lock the support to forward and I also folded a piece of aluminum at the back for not pushing too far the support.

It's been awhile since I had not progress a bit ... (a lot of work to school)

So I show you what I did yesterday: the holes for the neon switches.
I have made this with a Greenlee to have good accuracy.


Here is the result in the case with a switch in place:




Today I will make the motherboard support, so I will post the pictures soon.

Here as promised the pictures of the motherboard support made this weekend!

So for the first step, I have made the holes for cable management
and the holes for mounting the motherboard.

I will therefore soon make the hole in the back of the CPU to access the attachments of the ventirad and welding or insert the motherboard standoffs.

I started by cutting a bias to the shear at the front of the plate.
For it takes the shape of the front of the box.
Then I drilled holes at the ends of grooves.


And as usual I finished working with a jigsaw and lime,




The next step was to drill the mounting holes of the motherboard
Step tricky in itself because it takes a perfect alignment with the support of I / O Panel installed on the backplate.
I used an old case to make the size inter the holes.

Then, before drilling, I checked my hole fell just with an old motherboard in ATX format.

Here the plate with the six holes completed.


Then I made a groove in the bottom left corner. So the PCI brackets are not exceed.


This step is finish, normally I can continue this weekend.

A small update consists of the back plate, which is attached the power supply

Ahhh... the holidays at last I'm going to seriously move forward on the project!

I started yesterday with the CD's support,
Composed of 3 bays 5"25, two standard and one for a programmable display and the Rheobus.

To start, I gave the form that I want in a metal plate,
I had already thought about doing a patron, then finally I said it would be easier to bend at cut at end...


Then I cut my metal sheet to length:


The next step was the hole for the display in the last bay, 95x45mm rectangle:

The bay of the display is a little higher than others because of the size of it,
so I made an angle so ratraper height and not to distort the front.

Then I weld the sheet at the angle:


Then before drilling the holes, I sanded with a flap disc :


And using an old CD player, I drilled mounting holes:

I then made small rubber pads for hard disks and CD players,
Using a cookie cutter in the same sheet of rubber, than power supply.

So much for today, the next step being the completion of the air conduit for the 140mm front fan.
And the fins are normally scheduled for next weekend ...

 

New update before the air lines fan: the upper front plate.

I drilled a hole to make place for the CD players.

Then I rounded the top of the plate so that it follows the shape of the structure:

I may be a bit forward but as I got the components for the Rheobus
and I have to wait to be in school for have electric test plates.
I still want to work a bit on it, so I realized it's facade.

A small aluminum plate, 4 mm thick on the size of a CD player:


Then in the same plate, I drilled holes for potentiometers
start with a small diameter to be about not damaging the plate by drilling directly to 10.
As you will see there will be 8 entries on my Rheobus.


Now the perforated plate to 10mm:


For decoration, I then hit the plate numbers from 1 to 8 designate any potentiometers:


Here is a test with a potentiometer mounted:


On the next photo, we see 4 holes at each end,
in a purely aesthetic concern, I want to put a 3mm BTR screws at each corner.
His will be a little crude, a small "industrial" style!

As I did not have the screws, I could not show you the result ...

I put the plate a little warm before placing a fresh coat of paint!

When I wrote Fury, it was not the word "fury" but the name of the mod that I wanted to write.
As if i had marked, "Maximum Performance, Maximum Cooling, ...for Fury Mod"

 

Really nice !!! , but i think one colour on this case wouldn't be a great idea.
