    WOW. I really don't know what to say other then that wood is beautiful and your precision craftsmanship skills are ridiculous. Keep up the good work!

    i saw one of your mods on the front cover of a mag when i was in the states and was like i gotta buy that so i did (the mag not the case) i thing the orange lighting would look tones better than blue

    nice to see you started work on the case. I'm sure it will look 1000times better then the renders when its finished.

    wow, just wow nick. Now you see, the proper tols keep ur fingers away from fast spinning blades... gotta get me one of those tenon joint cutter thinga-majiggy's. Case comin along and i agree that you should stick to an orange or yellow lighting scheme t contrast the ebony. keep up the awesome work.

    It is Ebony. That is the natural color of the wood, and is extremely expensive. It is also pretty hard to find pieces longer than 2 feet ><.

    Thanks a lot everyone. The orange lighting was a nice idea but just isn't going to happen. This case is due to be completed in exactly 4 weeks from now so I've begun to officially freak out. Anyway, on to the update!

    The next step was to cut out the two big frames of thicker ebony. An hour or so at the wood store and over a hundred dollars later I have my wood:

    They put wax on the wood to protect it and keep in the moisture and such so first thing is to scrape all that crap off:

    A bit of a fast forward but after the pieces were milled and cut, I needed to glue on the rest of the thinner pieces that would complete the design:

    And then I get to route out the pieces using the templates:
