    "You know" IS meaningless. It is a filler word, meaning nothing.

    An example for you : "Like, you know, these words mean absolutely nothing, you know.". This is how some people talk. Did the "like" and "you know" have any meaning in that example ? No.

    Whilst people who put 'you know' or 'like' after every other word do my head in that's not quite what I meant...

    You know what I mean.../you see what I mean...

    Should really have put it as two separate things

    We all do. But as a play on words, in Latin, we instead say volo, which means I want (to), for any crazy story we get given.

    Expect the variants nolo for exams, and malo for cake day.
