The Coolermaster Aquagate comes with a variable fan contoller for the radiator, the best place to fit this was @ the back of the case below the dual exhaust fans. CM even supply a sexy little silver knob for a pro look With the bulk of the rear wiring finished it was time to move onto the the front of the case. The Matrix orbital LCD is screwed into place and the atx power switch and leds are wired up Holes are drilled and msesh on the innner front wall this will allow air into the motherboard chamber ofthe case. With the front wire loom can be passed thru the front wall and the Motherboard Panel can be "slotted" into place! the top roof separator can be bolted down and the wires passed thru a precut hole for the Radiator fan.
Next step is bolt the CM block/pump onto the CPU... and bolt the board into the case. With the board and water block/pump in the Top Unit can be bolted on containing the 120 Rad and Fan. The hole Top Rad housing slots into the front then drops down at the rear were its bolted down the Water hoses are fed thru 2 pre cut holes and the wiring is attached.
The back section is added, hoses connected water added and the fan is tested. Low medium High its good to see the Fan drawing air well. The original idea was to also mount the HDD behind the "backwall" on the underside with the CDROM and PSU..... But this is something that i will want to change as needed....and as this pc will be used as a webserfer for the wife...i thought qik access far outweight any athetical beinifets.... How ever! i come up with a nifty way of mounting the HDD into the base of the unit. Using some left over Caddy screws and rubber grommet vibrating dampers i managed to solve the problem of not having the HDD sit flat on the floor... allowing some air to pass under and not cook the hdd.
Next was to attach some sexy feat, for now i'll attach these using thy'r adheasive pads 2 more will be brought later and all 4 will be bolted on. With the feet and hdd moutning out of the raod last was to add the front Duct and bolt the front facia on. The ATX conn came up short.... for now! ive usued a small exension and painted it black to help hid its ugliness... but this will be fixed as soon as i can purchase a newer longer cable. H-1 is really starting to look like a PC! the internals are all connected all the panels and facia are secured.
All thats left to do is fire the PC up laod windows and setup the stuido for some shots!!! Adding the font frosted plex panel realy changes the look of the PC..i cant wait to try this with different colored frosted plex panels. Addding the side panel with the "smoked" tinted window. Testing the slot loading DVD...
Simply awesome. You have really gotten me into the frosted plexi. I am now integrating it into my case.
Lovely.... The only possible critique I can think off is that the light of front LED is not spread enaugh. But that probably looks better in real life since you most likely took that picture with long shutter speed thus making the source of the light stand out more. This case has a very strong character.... It looks so steady, and kinda reminds me of old school...
