Twas time to get some paint back onto the front of H-1's facia. Wanting to keep the orig platsic texture and look i opted to use........Car bumper paint! this stuff is very durable scratch resistant enuf and designed for covering plastic!!!! the can unfortunatly produces less then stellar finish large paint blotches and very uneven.... i deciced to rub the first attemp back and spaying the can paint into a small bottle i then transfered the paint into my air brush... with some carefull thinning..this produced the effect i was after! With the painting out of the raodi could now fit the tinted plex window for the top LCD screen. the plex is cut then bent to shape...the window will be glued into place. for the CDROM slot hole im using the proper felt from the original slot facia. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To test the Matrix orbital LCD i had to being the unit inside, with the ATX button power and hdd lights an front grill installed its really starting to take shape.
Turning out more than nicely. Just as expected. Another great work by Defyant. Gratz man, you always succeed in making me go .

whaooooooo!!! as soon as you get the plexi out it just make the differance, you've got ace skills man, trés good.
I've used Duplicolor Plastic paint (for bumpers mainly) in my last mods and its a good paint for modding.
Yup, he's done it again. Nice work defyant - the bumper paint was a great idea. Does it feel rubbery?
thanx guys the paint just gives a natural plastic finish.....i was thinking of clearing over..but then it would get shiny again the case is not hevy! but then its all small factor stuff installed. its is incredible rigid! the 4.5mm plex holds up very well and i'd happily trust the case laid on its side for a journey. A little idea i stole off HPR3-Mega... i wondered how this would look, once i sort getting the light even i think it will be nice to have this as an "interchangable" option like the side window idea. first off is cut and bend to shape some clear plex a test to see all fits well next is to give the plex a "fost" sanding a comparrison next will be to do the same thing with orange shadow and green plex.
Looks great on front, side, back.. all looks great! I thought you'll put a rad to the front hole, but you didn't :/
Both options for the front are good looking... Maybe blue/frost combo is more eyecandy, but it isn't necessarily (its correct?) a good thing to me.
