love this case you done a really nice job the polish was nice... i tought you were going to leave it withou it.....

why you dont try higher grtis like 1000 1500 2000?

I definetly agree that it needs a higher grit but I didn't take it there just yet. I was amazed that I could actually get the amount of reflectivity that I did with what I had at the time. When I do the gears for the blowholes I'll push it right to 2000 grit paper and THEN hit it with the polish. BLING! When those come out okay I'll go back and do the large ones over again.

 

i understand i know is a pain to do all that polishing xD but it worth it.... really love your case

It's Innovatek's version of the Aquadrive. The HDM-L Pro HD Dampening/H2O Box. Been waiting on these to become available. It should arrive today as a matter of fact from HighspeedPC.

They don't have a dual drive version (that I can tell) and it a helluva lot cheaper than the AC version.

I'll let you know what I think when it gets here.

 

Just got the "Innovadrive" in and initially I have to say that I'm slightly disappointed. All the areas you see that are black are actually just hard plastic. Even the front faceplate is plastic and it's the flimsiest part of thje whole unit. I know the interior WC "mechanism" is what's doing all the work but I expected something a little more substantial from Innovatek. When this is installed I hope it does better than the Aquadrive LT i have on the HDD now. IT doesn't even have water connected to it and it knocks my temps down to mid 35 degrees celcius. I may try to plumb this into the 2nd loop I had planned but that's still up in the air right now.

I'll try to get pics up soon but my schedule is all rearranged this week and I may not get the time to snap any off.

 

i think that is useless a good fan can cool down a HDD even without cooling they do fine that is quite restrictive (sp) for your WC setup.....


im going to buy in the near future a 1200v (like your case but little bit bigger) and im going to use the swiftech apex H20 extreme duty kit (it has 12cm x2 rad) and i want to know if there is space @ the top of the case for it maybe closer to the 5 1/4 bays

 

Well I'm still relatively new to watercooling so this is all a big experiment for me. But seeing as how this is going into a seperate loop I'm not that concerned about the restriction I may encounter. I probably should but for now I do not. If the "Innovadrive" doesn't work out I still have the Aquadrive LT to fall back on. I'm holding out hope because of the Innovatek name on it.

Anyone know where I can get an Aquadrive faceplate. Hell I'd pick up a WHOLE Aqaudrive at this point for comparison. But what's up with the stock blue color?


As for the space on the top I would have to say I doubt it unless you mount any optical drives other than the top bay. I have enough room for my Evercools to sit right aboe the DVD burner with about a quarter inch to spare without the custom grill and maybe an 1/8" with both fan and grill. Now if I move the fan controller or the Aquabay back to the top I'd have more room.

 

if you have any time you can check the swiftech apex kit that is the one im going to buy is the best kit out there.....

if you see the radiator try to see if fits i just will use 2 bays for dvd and i think the 1200 is a little bit taller sorry to bother you with this

 

Well considering the Apex is supposed to be an EXTERNALLY MOUNTED kit I'm confused. I suppose if you got rid of the radbox then it would fit no problem IF the V1200 is actually taller. On both of those points I don't know and have not a clue. Hell if you want to KEEP the radbox I don't see why not since it's your mod. I don't see why your setup would not fit. Why not get a Swiftech kit with the same components but WITHOUT the radbox since they're designed to be mounted internally anyway?

i want to make a side panel and i need a laser cut (the design is pretty hard to do with dremmel) really thanks for the answers

And here it is installed and awaiting water. It's about 5 degrees celcius hotter than the Aquadrive LT (also without water) so I'm eager to get it wet to see what it can do. I'll be off to source some aluminum to replace the plastic parts.

Hey Modsquad! If you read this I was asked to see if you would part with your Aquadrives. I responded by saying that I've never seen you part with anything but I hadda ask anyway.

No real updates. Life is hectic just recently. Sorry. But I am entering the A.C. Ryan contest so wish me luck although I have VERY stiff competition.

Okay.

Small update.

Got REAL tired of looking at that UGLY plastic panel on the "Innovadrive" so I decided to do something about it.

The before pic.



I removed the plastic panel and pretty much crammed in into
the back of a spare drive cover I had laying around.



I removed the tabs on the drive cover by scroing them with
the dremel and bent them right off and filed down the edges
to make them smooth.



Drilled some holes and mounted the new Innovadrive front panel.



Well it wasn't that easy because the srews that originally
held the plastic panel on were actually too short to mount the
new panel (sorry no pics of the screws). But that was easily
solved by sifting through my massive 10lb screw collection to
locate the proper length and threaded screws.

Maybe later this weekend I'll fab up the aluminum I snagged to
finish off the front and botom where the other plastic pieces are
hiding.

UPDATE TIME!

Prepped the Hiper PSU prior to installing it in the case.




And swapped out the fan grills.

I was going to swap out the fans with some nice shiny
Evercool LED ones BUT the 80mm fan in the Hiper is very low profile so
the Evercool one wouldn't work. I could've left the 120mm one in but I thought
it would look stupid since you wouldn't be able to see and
illumination. I might just mount the 80mm Evercool to the
outside of the PSU just to see what it will look like.

Currently I'm scrambling about the house looking for an ATX extension
I bought last year. Cannot for the life of me remember where I put it.
I am worried about the short length of the Hiper's ATX cables so
before I commit to ripping out the old PSU (old faithful) I have to
make sure it will be long enough.

Not that I planned this today but while I was looking around in the case I decided
to temporarily take care of that ugly area around the drive cage. I say temp because
I plan on getting another replacement door and do this up properly out of the panel itself
so that it will match. I might also redo the floor area with this instead of the plexi.

Fabbed up a piece of black mirrored plexiglas, drilled a few holes and...



Sice I was in there I scouted out a location on the upper floor of the case
to mount a pass-through for the ATX cable since I could not locate the
extension. It SHOULD give it enough reach so I might swap out PSU's
soon enough.



I spent the last hour or so whipping up THIS piece of work.



Just let me tell ya that this thing cut up VERY easily. For what
it is actually used for I'm surprised that it does what it does. I'm
glad I never really got around to installing it. While I was cutting it
up the drill bit I used to start a pilot hole caught on the aluminum
and spun the piece around and wacked me in the hand, drawing blood.

Anybody figures out what this is made from gets the booby prize.
Anyone that figures out what I plan to use it for gets 2 prizes.

The bolts will eventually get cut down and the brass piece will get a
coat of silver paint.

Quick question. I plan on addding the GPU block and "Innovadrive"
to the mix. I have another rad to mount so my qustion is will I need
another pump OR can the one I have handle 2 more components?
Or would it be better to just get another pump and make it 2
separate loops?

Guess that was 2 questions.

 

lol is it a syncro ring from a gearbox

 

looks like some sort of table leg or stereo leg. Could be a hole saw as well. Thats my guess.

Okay!

It's part of a coilover kit I bought years back and never got around to installing on my Prelude (I mod my car too).



It looks like this when not hacked to pieces.



It didn't come from a set of the Skunk's. They were an eBay special so no real loss. The brass gear is a syncro that came from a batch of parts I won from eBay months back for the mod and never found a way to integrate into the case design.

 

should have recognised the coilover collars as i had them on my car. those c-spanner tabs should've rung some bells
