    you want a 4511 IC

    http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/cmos.htm#4511

    the LED's on a 7SLED are lettered a-g (sometimes h, if t has a decimal) and the 4511 has a pin for each one on the 7SLED, and it decodes 4 bit binary from a counter ( i like the 4017, it is a decade counter (no multiples of four to figure out) and you can daisy chain them for 100 counts or as high as you want)

    do you want to know more? email me and i can write you a dissertation (the practice will be good for me, i plan on being an electrical engineer) on the topic, but right now i got senior orientation at school. bye

    @pa!n. once you've got the jacks its pretty simple, you cant really MAKE the jacks per se, but you can of course wire them for power connections as the ones in orac were.
    @im not a monster..thanx for that.
    but the problem that im having is finding a suitable clock IC that can run off battery power,im not too bothered if i have to re-set the clock after changing the batteries or a if they run out. but i can not, no matter how many variations i try on google find a suitable IC that i can actually purchase, from somewhere like say, maplins or RS.
    so if i use one of those 4511 IC's per 7 segment display, in theory all i should need is a suitably IC that works as a clock and outputs as binary to each 4511 IC to display each numeral,so id need an IC that outputs in binary, which'd send a binary to one of the 4511 IC's which would in turn display the HOURs,and then a seperate 4511 IC outputting to the minutes and if possible seconds too.
    would it be possible for you to write a simple to follow guide on how to make a 7segment clock?
    thank you very much!

    i think theres only ever been sony ericesson screen guides ever made. most screens are using those gold coloured ribbon cables, so they cant be made to hook up to a VGA port or anything.

    any chance of someone showing how to make a 92mm to 80mm fan adapter, (so you can mount a 92mm fan in the space of an 80mm fan) out of say some sheet metal, or even better would be just some old fans!
    thanx.

    i swear i read a project log where the person used RCA type plugs (they look like headphone plugs) for powering some things in their comp. my question is what can i do to get rid of a lot of the wires in my case. thanks

    how to put images onto pc's caeses??

    I"ve started to get ready to do a soundwave themed case mod. Its my first time doing a case mod. I've got alot of the parts I need and have start drawing up some designs and that. The only thing is I can't work out how to get a full color image on to the side of the case. I've done a search :worried: here and on google and can't find out how.

    Does anyone have link to a guide on how to put images onto pc's caeses??

    there isnt really much along the lines of a guide, but there is PolyGFX. they put pics on a special case wrap and you simply press it onto your case. go to www.polygfx.com.

    you should ask him how he did it then. he may have gotten a case wrap, or maybe he pasted a printout of that on.

    doesnt modding a mouse really apply to all mice? i think if you want a mouse modding guide simply google "mouse modding guide" and youll find many that apply to the mx510.
