hey guys really sorry there have been no updates i havent had a chance to work on the case due to college but that finishes on friday then im off to germany for a week but i will have updates from the 1st august i promise! (i know its a long time but i cant get any done till then)

But Come on and Show me Update

 

Jeez, is it just me or was that tray and side panel combo a liiitle bit overattached?

 

lol thats teh bit that the tray will be attached to and nah im not gunna be talking those parts off. update in just a few mins people!

 

welll the time has come for my update!!

i wont bore you with lots of talking ill just get straight into it.

i started off with making a start on my new hdd cage




i then started measuring out the sheet metal for the panels.




then after a while of cutting with my trusty jigsaw i had all the panels cut out and 'on' the case (excuse the masking tape its just to show you what it is like)



i then moved on to cutting out the section for the pci slots and the rear panel.

i marked on where the 120mm fan will go aswell.


i then took a trip to halfords with my dad and got some primer, black paint, metallic purple paint and some body filler(will need that later)

soooo i rubbed down my fram and painted it with primer



i then moved on to the left side (where the window will go) i cut out the window. i changed my design a bit here i have decided to have the dvd drive in the fron rathe than the side.


then after a while withe the file i had nice straight lines


by this time the primer had dried so i gave it a little rub down now it is nice and smooth ready for the satin black tommorow.


and last but not least a taster of what the fans will be like!(i love this colour)

hehe i wanna build a case very similar to this or mod a Mac G5 aswell

 

lol id be very willing to make you one obviously at a small price but not much.
