    Oh, Lord!
    I leave you kids alone for a few minutes, and you wreck the place.
    @John - Does it have to be in hi-def too?:hehe:
    @Acey - Eco-friendly?:hehe: I built a mountain of plastic and used a quart of toxic chemicals to do it. To top it off, the CNC machine doubled last month's electric bill. I have a carbon footprint King Kong couldn't fill.
    Hmmm.... Chia computer.....:idea:

    -Crossdressing trolls. The thread is all kinds of kinky.

    [IMG]
    -I did a test cut to see if I could clear the support beam.
    [IMG]
    -This is the setup for cutting this time. I'm taping the vises now because I've broke all the rubber bands.
    [IMG]
    -Behold the newest addition to my CNC rig: Bananaman! :lol: It's one of those toys you put on the end of a pencil. When the Z-axis indexes, he spins!:hehe:
    [IMG]
    -The machine took all that laughing personal. It barfed in the middle of the cut and started backing the spindle out of the cut. I had to stop it and reset the operation. I was so freaked out that it could screw up like that, I forgot to type a clearance height into the return command. When that happens, the machine moves the bit along at the height of the work surface.:duh: I made a nice scratch, but it's already sanded out.
    [IMG]
    -I could only cut 2 of the three fan holes, so I set the origin point in one of the screw holes. When I moved everything for the last hole, I parked the bit inside the matching screw hole on the previous job, and zeroed the X and Y.
    [IMG]
    -All cut... well, not quite.
    [IMG]
    -The computer model and the actual radiator didn't match up. I had to make some of my own measurements in places. They weren't too great either. I put the panel back in the machine and made the inlet holes a bit bigger.
    [IMG]
    -Today I got the last bit of my DangerDen goodness!:D We're doing something different this time and using a Cpx Pro pump.
    [IMG]
    -It's packed like a bomb, and comes with a wire connector ****.:D
    [IMG]
    -I need to come up with an enclosure for this. I can't use the model I made for the DDC anymore.

    This post was brought to you with the help of:

    :DThanks again!:D

    Looks cool, Cheaps.

    Grr, nothing sucks worse than getting inaccurate measurements! I learned long ago not to rely on anyone's numbers except my own; especially the manufacturers' supplied ones! It's similar to being an insecure git and asking your girlfriend if you're the best one so far and she gives that ever-so-slightly hesitant response....and that's all it takes to crash down your world. ....I have no idea what that analogy was supposed to help with, but figured it'd be appropriate here. :D

    Those little pumps can move some water considering the actual power (read: little) required to run it. In fact, the D-Tek version of it I had I ran off the CPU fan header on an old AMD 64 setup I had, lol. Worked great. And they're quiet.

    I liked your analogy, EEL. :D
    So far we had some trolls, "lots of hose" and some anal-ogy.
    This thread is slowly getting normal. :eeek:

    I'll just do what has been done in the demot thread:

    Thanks!
    @EEL -Sounds more like a confession than an analogy. The measurements that were off were mine! The inlets on the radiator were very different from the computer model, but the fan hole pattern was perfect. I'm betting the numbers did come from the spec sheet on this one.
    @Badje - Google 'DeepGroove 1':thumb: He's cheaper than the manufacturer's site.
    @perplekks- I think I've been a bad influence on you...
    @Destroyed - Thanks.:D
    @Boy4rm oz - It's getting to be the most interesting part.:hehe:

    I wonder where Cheaps got the Mr. Bim monkey. He's not old enough to have had it for his toys. Zippy, Mr. Bim, OH and Tippy the girl friend.

    @Perplekks- NO!:nono:

    @John - You know my monkey's heritage? It's one of my hand-me-down toys. I never heard what they were from.

    Old guys know things. Popular in 1950s and 60s. The real monkey showed up on the Howdy Doody show a few times. This is Tippy

    [IMG]

    You can read about them here:

    There are always 'old' toys passing through our house. Nauga monsters? Plush Chewbacca?
