Steam L4D2 Demo Preloading now

The guitar is hands down the best melee weapon I have used so far! Great game, well worth the wait, really looking forward to the full release.

Anyone find the jukebox easter egg? If you get it to go to Song 5, it plays "Still Alive"

Haha that is epic. I was happy to see the jukebox working let alone play Still Alive!

I usually scream "GUITAR HERO, BITCH" when I start swinging the guitar at zombies

 

I wasn't particularly impressed with L4D, so I think I'll let this one go.

 

It's such a shame.. I think I'd abuse it a lot though.. "Ooh vomit jar.. hehe.. hehehe... *throws at teammate* OH! My bad man! *watches teammate get mauled by zombies*"

meh, I wasn't really impressed.
Well, ok I was.
I've played the Demo 4 times now, but the last time either some dude has hacked it already, or there are certain weapons that are waaaaaaayyyy overpowered.

This guy played COACH, and somewhere after leaving spawn and before the jukebox room, he picked up the new SMG with incendiary ammo and just destroyed everything.
Now I figure it was either a major bug as all he kept saying was " Let's light some sh*t up" or something like that, and I swear he never reloaded, like he was in full_clip mode or something.
Regardless of if he hacked or not, that ammo alone seems way overpowered and I can see VS mode just being worthless for the infected as the weapons have become super-powered.

I need to try this on expert as advanced was no challenge. . .

Expert is still fairly easy, but gives you a bit of a challenge; my assumption is that they have made it all a little easier for the demo to entice more people to play it.

If he was on his own server, he's admin, so can turn on sv_cheats 1. Can do loads from there.
I used to it to try out all the weaps since the ak kept spawning at the end :/

 

Normally the Incendiary and Explosive Ammo just gives you one clip, so it's not like they're gonna be ridiculously overpowered in the game.

You can spawn the Grenade Launcher in the demo, just type "give weapon_grenade_launcher" in the console (with cheats on) It's not skinned yet though so it fires an exploding purple error message

The link was in one of the adverts that appear when you start up steam. I think it said it unlocks on the 4th.

 

Just checked and no option to preload here.
