no no no! Nothing against you at all, I just think it's pretty poor the job google is doing. Because I know it's got to be google right? If it's not google and it's you, then I apologize as I did not mean to insult you, only point out the poorness of google's translate feature. Please take no offense in what I said, you have a great beginning here and I in no way am trying to discourage you.
No problem Logan, usually i use babel fish to translate from italian to english, I can speak English but use a translator but for convenience is not very precise. I do look more carefully in future .
Today's update is about mobo-backplate!! My friend Mino gave me a fantastic chromed backplate by Akasa I used some tape to cover the cutting site... ....and drew the guide line My dremel with diamond disc is ready! Go !!!!! ;-) Have a look at the "hole". Not bad. Fitting test....(FYI two slots have been removed because the backplate was too long for my purpose) It fit togheter perfectly. I refined the bottom side of the chassis to hold the Enermax revolution
Let's go ahead with the side panels. Onestly I think they are one of the most attractive pieces of the case. At the beginning I started cutting the side panel with my dremel but after a while I realized that wasn't enough for my needs...so I called my friend Mino asking for help and he gave me the contact of the tombstone maker Maybe it sounds a little strage but the side panels will be cutted with water-jet machines by a company that make gravestone!! Let me show you some pics The panel on the hardware side This is the turn of Plexishop, they engraved the logo on the plexi that will be placed under the panel I saw you before The logo "modded in italy" doesen't miss and It won't in all my future mods Side panel with plexi mounted. I like it !! Have a look at the panel in place. Side panel without plexi Take a look at the chromed profile at the top and bottom side of the panel Fixing plexi Both the logo and the line engraved Will be light up I can't wait to see the case finished!!
Go on... This is the other panel (on the psu side), made by the tombstone maker, with the new logo engraved! The side panel is 3cm longer so I decided to remove 1,5 cm from the top and bottom side. Some adhesive tape to set the cutting point The panel is fixed with some clamps An angular profile hlped me go straight with dremel (409 disc) Here it is... My favourites piece is the logo engraved on the mirrored plexy Once again some adeshive tape before cutting. Mirrored plexi in place under the alluminium panel Retro-lighting test It was just a test because the light will be white but I' am thinking of a bicolor system Panel in place ...without mirrored plexi Mirrored plexy installed
Here I am guys! I assembled both side panels and for your interest there will be a gull-wing opening system like mercedes sls thanks two small gas pistons. Each panels is fixed a the top of the case with simple metallic clasp I removed a little piece of clasp both from the starting and ending point because was in touch with the chassis. I left the central bar in order to keep the general look Clasp fixed to the chassis...it looks nice! Strating from the panel on the psu side I marked the holes on the plexy The clasp is fixed with M3 bolts Even if I threaded the holes I put some nuts to strengthen the panel because of the movement This is how it looks like from the inside Obviously all the screw will be resized later. Now I can complete the side panel.. I joined the plexy and the alluminium thanks to this bostik glue A little bit of glue Alluminium panel in place The glue is up to expectations, after 10 minutes was well fixed and 2 hours later everything was strongly fixed. This is the first panel assembled with clasp installed! Quick light test
Looks really sweet with the orange or red & then the blue light, looking great so far WeisseS & interested in seeing the finished piece with the different approach to mounting the motherboard .
I've done the same work on the hw's panel. I applied some adhesive tape on the top of the plexy panel I marked the holes on the plexy It's dril time I make the holes I fixed the clasp after removing the tape The plexy panel is ready so I laied upon the alluminium panel Whole panel fixed to the chassis This is how it looks like Obviously the bulkheads are not yet anchored but simply positioned. Pay attention at the lower mirrored profile
Let's go on....I fixed the panel with the chassis. Starting from a plexy plate (1 cm thick and 8 cm wide 45 cm long) I made two little plates (2 cm wide 43,5 cm long) Here they are two plaxy plates, cutted with an electric jigsaw, ready to be placed both to the panel and to the top of the case Holes marked Bar drilled and holes threaded Hole in detail Thread Screwing the clasp to the bar ...from another point of view The clasp with all the screw in place Let's fix it to the top of the case The clasp fit perfectly!! The panel open The opening system is missing but the manual movement is ok.
Nice work! I like the mirror effect and the gull-wing opening! Do you speak German or why have you chosen the name "Schwarz Mirror"? Your Username is WeisseS, also a German colour.
Thanks a lot, i will use a rgb controller to make the light effect. Stay tuned, today i will upload a lot of photos
