It's been done before and with great success. I found about it at another board... Here...

Once I found out about it, I decided to try it out and sleeved my entire system in black paraccord for a total cost of about $30... That included buying enough heatshrink to last me about five more entire sleeving jobs ($5) and a heatgun ($10) from Harbor Freight Tools. The paraccord itself was $16 for a 100 foot lenght from the Army/Navy surplus store around my house. You can get the cord in many colors and even some with funky designs...

    @ Kosovar
I'm really liking the no heatshrink treatment you gave to your wiring... I may have to steal that for my next sleeving project.. :D

Yes this is the same exact quality od MDPC-X sleeving but it is smaller....it's perfectly goes over a 18gauge wire.....it the bomb...

The lighter red is standard TechFlex/PET sleeving.......I had those from a long time ago. Big color difference, even MDPC-X sleeving isn't that red...its more the color of the TechFlex stuff.

Loving the nylon sleeving, everyone uses the MDPCX sleeve now, nylon looks so much better IMO, a lot more flexible as well. I sleeve all my audio cables in Nylon :D.

I love the look of sleeved cables where there aren't any visible heatshrink!
    Great work!

the problem is that everyone would have done so ;), and i want to keep that for my self for a while :D, then i can go out and tell how i does it :D, but it is as simple as it sounds, you crimp the cable with the paracord on into the pins :), you need a good crimping tool, and female pins, but the risk by doing this is that the pins can bereak of easely !
