Hm, interesting - I'm going with Paracord for a casemod, I'm currently doing.
Now, having read a little bit about the issue, it seems like the description "#550" refers to the breaking point (measured in pounds), and doesn't necessarily having anything to do with the thickness - is that correct?

If that is so, I'm going to have a tough time finding the same size that you ordered, unless I order the stuff from knivbutik.se - but, I'm not even sure that their various colour types of 550 Paracord are the same diameter, so I'm really confused by this. I don't want to be buying Paracord that is too thick for single-wire sleeving.

    You follow me there?

    Hi Nutman :)

Great chiose of uniquenes! #550 means that it can hold upp to 550pounds, thats correct as you say :)

The size cant be different, because the diferent between #450 and #550 is that #550 has 7 threads inside which are 3strains braided, the 450 has 5 or 4 of them, thats the big diference :)

since you live in Danmark you could order from knivbutik.se :), what i know its free shipping inside sweden but i think you could arrange somethin to Danmark too :)!

What colors have you had in mind ?

    Ok, thanks.

I had the Woodland Camo colour in mind, since I'm doing a military-styled casemod.

Well, let's see when it's done. The woodland camo colour MIGHT not fit that well with the olive drab colour chosen for the rest of the mod, but I thought a slight variation in colours would be nice.

However, I'm pretty sure that's not how the military would think for REAL field-ready computers. ;)

I'm in the Australian Military and 550 pound para cord is something I work with everyday. For a military themed case mod use olive drab (suggested before). I can get the part numbers and Mil spec details if you like?

Thanks, guys - really appreciate it!

However, I found a local army apparel store here in Copenhagen (http://www.arms-gallery.dk) and bought myself 200 ft. of #550 Paracord (Woodland Camo colour) - the diameter is app. 3.2 mm. PERFECT for single-wire PSU sleeving. :thumb:

Hey everybody ... now I'm finally back on track!
Thanks to my twin brother (ReDoZz) who bought Photobucket Pro to me for a year so I can once again upload pictures to the people! You can also see all those other pictures now ... what can I say!
    Thanks Brother!

Now I've finally had time to make some progress this evening / morning...first of all, it had to fix a gallery on Sweclockers, and then I started sleeving the PSU, got pretty far but at some point you have to sleep od course!

8pin CPU entirely done, however it shall obtain a new 8pin connector instead of a 4pin and 6pin....

Time for the 24pin cable:), the funniest bit!

    Halfway to the cables
    [IMG]

I have to have an eye on all the cables:), Sofar so good, the next bit is to prepare Paracord!

sorting out colors and fix the cables so they do not sit across each other ...

    Precut paracordpieces...

Progsess do far with the 24pin cable, 4pin part is complete and the second coyote brown part aswell:)
That is all until now anyway, I will hopefully make it clear today:) later after I got some sleep, Then I will post some finished products pictures!
