This is turning into a masterpiece - I love it, so I subbed.

However, hungry for an update. "Waitor, I'd like to order some MOAR!, please..."

How much did you pay, postage included?

    Yup :)

That would be sweet, not sure if I can get my hands on it (is that available in spraycans?)

Thanks Nutman! I'll try to do a small update tonight :)

The ATX pannel was about 15 euro incl. postage (postage was within Holland, might be a bit more for international, you can send them a mail to inform about the costs: info at graveco.nl )

Cool, nice to see a metal-based scratch build that's getting a lick of paint.

    Update!

Ordered a bunch of parts last week, but It's all in backorder, so I continued priming parts:

This part has 1 layer of primer and is sanded with 600P
    [IMG]

These have 2 layers of primer and are also sanded with 600P
    [IMG]

Closeup, shows how 'grainy' the primer is before sanding

Wondering about the led strip will it be visable or hidden? Ever thought about sleeving it with white heatsrink then cutting out around the led ? Thats what I intend doing with my build. Also have you tried the hard wire mod does it boot no problem? Love the mod awesome work :thumb::dremel:

    Thanks Dan :)

bluc: The strips will be hidden behind the aluminum bars; check the picture, the strips are in the small gap to the between the alu bars and the white inner bracket:

Not sure if it boots with the hard wire mod, haven't got a CPU yet.

Still working on this project every spare minute I have, I'm currently painting the small parts of the case, but it's taking time to do it right and get a nice finish. Hopefully some new pics this weekend.

oh and one more thing, yesterday I received the Blowhole Cover / Fangrill I won with the MOTM:

I won't be using it in this build as it doesn't fit the style at all, but I'm sure it will come to good use in a future mod :) Thanks again for voting for me and thanks to BT and Bill Owen for having and sponsoring the contest!

Why not powder coat the grills rather then spray ?

    Thanks GamerID :)

Silver: Costs, and I want to paint it myself.

Crapman: Unknown brand I got it of Ebay. (check earlier in the log, there's more info on it)

Received a couple of new things: 5x Corsair SP120 fan and a simple Scythe fancontroller

    (phone pics sorry)

I would assume its an self etching aluminium primer, regular ones don't stick as well on aluminium.

It's a plain metal primer from a local hardware store. Not sure if it's self etching or not..

    Update!

Made a fancontroller in the right panel, just above the 7"touchscreen:

Prepared the psu cover, a backbannel and a sidepannel for priming:

And prepared a couple of parts for the 2nd layer of paint:

Not so big an update, but all this stuff is very time consuming.... till next time! :)

Thanks :) Final colour is white for the base & blue accents. Not sure what I'm going to do with the main alu bar (the standing one in the middle) I might polish that to a mirror finish and keep the rest white..

Mini update: Here's some of the parts after the 2nd layer of paint:
